Huuooommmm … well. it’s true, Master Turambar … huooommm … I will never understand or know about things those Elves do, or what they are … rhuoommm … a too difficult matter for a simple tree as me … huoommm …

March 20, 2011 at 3:03 pm #16082Huoommmm …. but if Nob were the Elf? … and the Elf were Nob? … huoomm … yes, Master Butterbur, indeed psychiatric evaluation is more than a difficult matter … rhuoommm .. as far as trees do know … hommm … then there’s association as well … err … Barliman Butterbur is BB ?

March 20, 2011 at 5:37 pm #16086Thanks Master caster.
Cheers Nob who’s no elf, otherwise his eggs would taste different !:lol:March 20, 2011 at 9:20 pm #16090actually, I think that Nob may cook eggs far better than I do
March 20, 2011 at 10:18 pm #16091Really? Then that good-for-nothing is good for something after all? Well, I’ll go to the foot of our stairs (as we say here in Bree).
March 21, 2011 at 5:38 am #16092A voice chimes in from a dark corner: “And Nob is very quick with an ale and a bit of your best weed, Barli, at least in my extensive experience here at the Pony!”
March 21, 2011 at 7:30 am #16096But he’s not supposd to drink my ale at all, let alone quickly. And I do wish he’d leave my weed alone! It’ll stunt his growth. (Apologies for the politically-incorrect hobbit joke.)
March 21, 2011 at 2:13 pm #16109:rolleyes:
Master Barliman, you just can’t help yourself…..:lol:March 21, 2011 at 2:23 pm #16111Did Nob leave any ale for a thirsty hobbit ?
Cheers Master Caster .March 21, 2011 at 3:17 pm #16115So I’m told.
March 21, 2011 at 9:30 pm #16123A bit late, but [large]GILDOR, YOU CAN PAINT[/large]
. Judge yourself by the enjoyment you get from painting and don’t judge yourself against what others do

I forgot to support our fairly Web Master.
No matter your fears (or disapointment), keep going, and once everything is alive with colors, enjoy living in middle earth !March 22, 2011 at 1:23 pm #16127i used to have this mood…. I seem to no longer have… as if I had lost technique and skills, but most of all… it seems my eyes are no more what they used to be…
I can’t manage to focus on details while painting….but anyway… not a proper place for that and well… i’m trying to force myself to paint again… but it’s hard….
March 22, 2011 at 3:56 pm #16129I just take my specs off and paint the figures at a distance of about 6 inches! But of course, I’m only painting to what might be termed “wargame standard” – though The Man, bless him, said that they’re rather too well painted for wargaming. I could never hope (nor would I attempt) to paint figures to the standard of, for instance, Mistress Wendy. I just wouldn’t have the time, nor the ability, so I just paint them as best I can and leave it at that.
March 22, 2011 at 4:39 pm #16130When my eyes starting getting worse, I bought an Optivisor with a #7 lens (2.75 magnification) now my painting is improving again!
March 22, 2011 at 4:43 pm #16132Only trouble I have with that sort of device is that it enlarges the size of the brush tip too, which I find doesn’t help me at all.
March 22, 2011 at 4:48 pm #16133Buy a brush half the size! Problem fixed!
I also bought an optivisor with #10 lens (3.5 magnification) for doing eyes and teeth. And a 8x jewlers loupe for spotting flaws that can’t be seen with the other two visors. -
