These are on the house, since I’m personally happy that the Numenorean has won.

However, I’m not sure that the offhand way that Master Michael has treated the voting results is entirely fair. After all, when the voting deadline actually passed the result was a draw. The first additional (late!) vote gave the Numeorean the advantage, and the two further (very late!!) votes extended his lead. But the true result was definitely a draw, and The Man (or whoever) should have made the final decision regarding the victor, as per the Fellowship ‘rules’.

I can’t remember who it was who suggested Sam, but they certainly have grounds for being miffed by the result, don’t you think?

Huooommmm … right you are again, Master Barliman … huoommm … it was a draw and that’s a fact …. Master O’Brian’s explanation about this in the last newsletter didn’t convince me very much … rhuoommm … anyway … I’ll not complain about the outcome …. huoommm … ah, could I have this bowl being topped up, please …. huoommm ….

Ah, I don’t mind. I certainly don’t begrudge Master Estel the win, especially for a subject with so much scope for the imagination.

My only disappointment was the decidedly unexciting ending to a rather exciting vote.

Well you’re certainly a more tolerant soul than I am, Mistress Wendy. I wish you better luck with Sam next time! But as you say, the Numenorean dude will indeed give The Man a chance to deploy his imagination to its fullest potential.

Huuoooommm …. so as Master O’Brian has informed a bit about the next three regular M-series it’s not necessary any more to regard this as a rumour or a secret … rhuoomm … I’m looking forward to holding them in my hands … huom … though it might take some time until then …. but why haste?

You are not wrong with this time thing you mentioned my friend the Ent. My sand in the houre glass must be a lot thinner. It runs 9 hours faster then yours.

Rhuooommm …. that’s what I always try to say … huoommm … you must turn the hour-glass sometimes … ahem … regularly, so to say … huomm …. just to keep it running … huom … doing that it might keep you more busy than our barkeep needs topping up me bowl of … rhuommm … alas … I forgot ….
