. . . yes, me too. Fantastic miniatures, I have to say. And I have to say: they are surpassing all my expectations.
Presto: I agree to you completely ! Fantastic job by THE MAN !PS: ” Oh My Gosh ” -isn´t that a song from Basement Jaxx !?
April 24, 2009 at 10:41 pm #5018I am not sure, but I was being proper on this wonderful site.
April 24, 2009 at 10:58 pm #5020mmmhh do you think I could ask Michael to Already give me info concerning the number and kinds of parts of each reference so I can begin filling the database for this forthcoming series?
I wonder if they have an idea yet they may not be casted for retail so far and only exist as masters?
April 24, 2009 at 11:13 pm #5021Huooommmm … rhuoomhom …. well, yes … first of all I have to admit that I really do like the LT-series (not only the Helm’s Deep ones) … these releases seem to continue what was cut short in those days … rhuoommm … and, mind, there are many more to come … huoomm …
excellent work methings … I simply enjoy just seeing minor parts of it … rhuoommhom …April 25, 2009 at 12:25 am #5022These looks great! I’m still slogging through my Hobbit set
but some day I will start collecting some more figs. Are most of you in the Gold Fellowship? I’m a bit confused by reading the Mithril site, but this means that you can buy the new fig released each month as voted by the members – right? Are there other perks?
George
April 25, 2009 at 12:40 am #5023Gildor, if you get the newsletter each time in your email, this one has the numbers for the first series. It starts with M509 Gamling the Old.
Check it out.
George: you have to be part of the Gold Fellowship to buy any of those figures, as far as I know.
April 25, 2009 at 8:35 am #5026Huoommm … yes, indeed, Master Jdbrown55 … and it might end with M539 … hoommm … in case my calculation is right … rhuoommm … hom
As for you, Master Gildor, what is this haste about filling the database? … rhuoommm … take your time and enjoy a sunny day …. huooooommmmmmm …April 25, 2009 at 1:51 pm #5029And in other news…
I’ve started a new section in the Court of Ardor:
MERP Sample Characters
This will be a small database of sample MERP characters based on or inspired by Mithril figures.
I rewrote the MERP character generation rules slightly for a future article for the Guild Companion. The idea was to make the horribly scattered rules in the MERP 2nd Ed corebook a bit simpler and more coherent. The eagle eyed will note two minor changes. The first is that Intuition is now Wits. Why? Removes the annoying problem of confusing Intelligence and Intuition in short form. The second is that power points are now called Will. The idea is that instead of everyone getting some spells, everyone gets a Will score, which works as Fate Points ala Rolemaster 2.
Of course none of this will make the faintest bit of sense to someone whose never played MERP, so you lot just not and smile

The first up is M447
April 25, 2009 at 2:01 pm #5030I like the running girl….
I can see her…
April 25, 2009 at 2:08 pm #5031Master Gavin, I have to say you are doing a great job!
April 25, 2009 at 2:47 pm #5036I agree. Gavin you really enjoy your Merp!
April 25, 2009 at 4:24 pm #5040Thank you all.
Hope to get another two done today.
April 25, 2009 at 6:12 pm #5042ahem … rhuoommm … might somebody be concerened about providing a bowl of clear-clean water, served in a nice bowl …. rhuoomm … by now this taproom has become too complicated to cope with, from my point of view … rhuoomm … so I will turn woodwards awhile …huoomm.
April 25, 2009 at 6:41 pm #5043well yes master jdbrown..; but I was talking about the number and kinds of parts for EACH figurine (I mean, weapons, shields, arms… all the separate parts for a given reference, in quantity and kind)
April 25, 2009 at 6:43 pm #5044*climbs over the bar*
*sniffs*
*looks bemused*
*sniffs some more*
*lets out a yell of victory*Ah ha, this is where he keeps the good stuff!
*pours the Ent a bowl of water without even the faintest trace of warg fur on it*
April 26, 2009 at 2:13 pm #5048Huoommm … thank you very much indeed, Master Gavin … rhuomhomhom? … respect … you’re the first artisan I know of who can ‘sniffle’ clear clean water … rhuoommm … must be the reason why you’re called “skilled” artisan …
April 26, 2009 at 6:36 pm #5052A great toast to Gildor and give him some of the very best ales in here!!
The folk will know, why (it is because of something small, cast in lead for the ones who are slow in mind 😆 ).A toast to Gildor, wisest of the Elves!!
April 27, 2009 at 1:55 am #5054well, i wouldn’t say the LT series is terrible, just a bit, thin. Like too little butter stretched over too much bread, as the hobbits say. From first glance, these figs look like they uphold the fine work that Chris is capable of and I have come to enjoy and, dare I say, expect, from Mithril releases.
April 27, 2009 at 7:13 am #5055This is well posed, Master Presto. I would like to add that a lot of more passion is been feeled instead of the LT-serie.
@ estel: I follow your wishes concerning Master Gildor !April 27, 2009 at 7:15 am #5056you will notice that the pose of one of the rohirim (i don’t know if that’s the proper word in english.. their physical behavior let’s say) is copied from the Aragorn fighting orcs in the Chamber of Mazarbul series ([mith]M281[/mith])
(except for an axe) and the half-orcs are directly inspired from the unreleased [mith]MW346[/mith] (which means that those among us who are lucky enough to have those half-orcs will be able to create really great armies or dioramas
