Huoommm … you were in between, Master Gildor while I was typing (with them old twigs) … so faster you were … huoomm … hasty, so to say … huommm …
anyway, good news …. rhuoommm … so the Rohirrim are the first series to come …. hooommm.
What about the Half-orcs and the Strawheads? … rhommpompomApril 29, 2009 at 4:45 pm #5088also other news… though I don’t know if I am to tell you about it but I did not receive any non-disclosure requests…
The Helm’s Deep “theme” is supposed to be made of 5 sets at all (that’s not definitive though it may be less)
part 1 is Gamling’s rally
part 2 is supposed to be “death to the strawheads” and it is already sculpted by Chris, he is now working on part 3
part 3 is supposed to be a lot of orcs… including those with explosives…
part 4 & 5 , we don’t know yetthe Destroyer of Dwarves (PM2) should have been finished by Easter, but I received no news about it recently, but well it should appear soon.
Well that’s all for now… I hope I did not disclose any “secret” info, but I thought it was meant to be said to collectors somehow though all of this is unofficial so I don’t think we could discuss it with Michael or on the official boards as nothing has been said and may still be changed
April 29, 2009 at 9:03 pm #5092Huoommmm … good news, Master Gildor …. hooommm … good news, indeed … rhuoomm … thank you for keeping us informed about those rumours … huoommm … as I do enjoy … hom
April 29, 2009 at 9:16 pm #5093It seems that these 3 or even more sets develop themselves to a really great thing.
Remember the time of the first announcement: some people, including myself (!), critisized a kind of recurrence.
And now: What a marvellous idea! Can´t wait to see them all. Fantastic !
Such a plan of more sets concerning one theme has never been realised in mithril´s last 20 years!
The incredible Mr.Tubb and mithril has surpassing all expectations !
I know by now that these sets will blast all my diorama-space-capacities !PS: and thanks fellows for the compliments . . .
April 29, 2009 at 9:25 pm #5094any idea if we’ll get an M-series Eomer on foot out of all this?
April 29, 2009 at 10:35 pm #5095All I know is that the full “theme” is supposed to make it possible to re-create a quite detailed version of the full battle of Helm’s Deep…. that’s the purpose… (I suppose it will have to include LT figurines, and even maybe the unreleased half-orcs as well for originality) but about other personnalities I do not know

It is ONE YEAR that I take part of this wonderful Forum. And I want to say that I am really happy for meeting such wonderful and kind persons here.
It gives me a lot, I have to say that, really fantastic. And there will be a lot to come in the future. Nice to be a part of it .

What great news!! Lots of Helms Deep figures, very nice. It seems, that they are made to fill-in the gaps of the irregular Helms-Deep-series and to create a whole great battle scene. That’s fantastic to give my scratch-built Helms Deep fortress lots of Mithril figures for diorama purposes. I like most the “strawheads”-thing- a chance to get some quite new Dunnish warriors for my ever growing Isengart army.
Maybe we sometimes can also have some “siege of Minas Tirith” sets in future.
Thanks Gildor for the news, and we promise you all spies, telling the Great Enemy, that you have told us the news, will be found and punished
.Cheers again.
Do the Bree-people also celebrate the first of May??
April 30, 2009 at 3:48 pm #5098It seems that there will be no rabbit for dinner …..

The half-troll looks set to win as new GF figure ….. :rolleyes:April 30, 2009 at 9:52 pm #5099Huoommm … there’s not even a bonzai-like tree in the diorama … gruuuooommm …. though those high vaults would be able to provide space for one of us …. huoommm…
respect, Master Rita.de, that diorama is absolutely perfect though there’s not the original furniture (table, candles, etc) …. huoommm … keep on, please.
April 30, 2009 at 10:24 pm #5101In fact, valued Master Tree, your eyes did´t fool you. At the point of time I finished that diorama, the original furniture collection
wasn´t part of my properties. My first and only try of using greenstuff . . .
The accessories exist in the meantime, but it seems that I am a little bit too lazy to exchange them.
As I not give preference on painting lute players and girls ( the M120 exist also . . . ) .
Unfortunately that diorama develops an other status through the years, it is a kind of ” too innocent” for me at present
Can´t explain it in a better way, sorry. Nice that you like it. All of you.

The half-troll looks set to win as new GF figure ….. :rolleyes:You just reminded me that I hadn’t voted yet. I’ve been gone a week and here I almost didn’t vote on my own suggestion.
May 1, 2009 at 11:38 am #5103Huuoooommmrhuooommmm … as our barkeep isn’t present at the moment I would like to express again my (and surely his) disappointment about the number of votes given …. rhuoommm… only 45 …. huom … very disappointing, I think …
May 1, 2009 at 12:16 pm #5104I wonder where this might come from except maybe that some members would like other kinds of suggestions (vignettes mounted etc) I know that’s not possible at the moment but that may cause the lack of voting… from people who do not care about the result because they do not feel concerned… (I for once, vote every every month but it’s been months I have suggested anything, that’s my choice indeed…)
Maybe we should ask Michael to add a voting option in addition to all suggestions : “no opinion” or “blank vote”
this way people COULD vote even if they are not happy with the presented suggestion (wether because they don’t like any of them, OR to reflect , somehow, that they would want other kinds of figurine? ) well, anyway, a blank vote should always be possible… because voting blank… and not voting…. is really two different things….May 1, 2009 at 12:33 pm #5105If people don’t like the suggestions, why don’t they suggest something of their own? I don’t think a “blank vote” would attrackt more members to vote.
May 1, 2009 at 1:02 pm #5107well sometimes people lack ideas …. or they are not offered the possibility to submit their suggestion due to the restrictions… they nevertheless would vote happily?
but that’s only an opinion indeed… actually I do vote after all, but in the past months, I have to admit, I have sometimes voted for suggestions more with the goal of not letting another suggestion I did not like, win… but this only applies to the second round votes indeed…May 1, 2009 at 1:14 pm #5108While I am not desperately enthused by a half-troll standard bearer, such a thing would be very cool in an Angmar army or Arthedain/Angmar diorama or a MERP game. I’m sure it will be a beautiful model, too. Throw in the Troll drummer, this fellow and the half-troll captain from the early M-series and you have a very distinct command set for Angmar. (alternately, one could use the Dagohir model as a half-troll captain, as he is, sort of, a half troll captain)
I’ll buy another Troll drummer to go with him. The results should be nice.
