one must not forget that Elrond is half-elven ;) he may not be as “long lived” as a regular elf ;) even if he took the elf part, as opposed to his brother elros ;)

huoommmm …. I just witnessed that something obviously didn’t work with that up-and-downloading-thing here …. sorry … I’ll try to repair … err, soon … sorry again …

Just found out I forgot that pdf-thing when I tried to rename the files …
OK, please let me give another chance. I’ll try it again – and once I’m more successful this time I then maybe can delete the other entries … it’s always a mess with these computery-things … so I’ll try again

Well, last night there was this trouble about nameless things. I suggested to add them to one of my Balrog’s vaults. Our dear Travelling Elrond at once complained about me having used an old beer-mat as a base for that vault (that’s the one Master Barliman cannot find, as I secretly hid it well) … what can I tell, slate this half-Elf wanted to be used … running down and upstairs again … slate there is for a base …

                [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_teb_1pdf.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_teb_1pdf.jpg[/imgz]

but what’s worse, then they started discussing … both of them … about where to put and how to do … alas ..

                [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_teb_2pdf.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_teb_2pdf.jpg[/imgz]

[ I’m not an eypert – can harddrives freeze? – somehow now it seems to work] …ok ….

sorry, that wasn’t the ent … as I had to provide more than just one piece of slate … the first one wasn’t convenient somehow … down and up again, you know … meanwhile both were discussing about who should have a place where ….

                  [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_teb_3pdf.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_teb_3pdf.jpg[/imgz]

that discussion then became very close to an Enthing, if you know what I mean … over and over again …

                  [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_teb_4pdf.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_teb_4pdf.jpg[/imgz]

of course, somehow that Travelling Elrond convinced my poor Balrog to stay out of his place … “his”, he said …

                  [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_teb_5pdf.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_teb_5pdf.jpg[/imgz]

then I dared to ask them about that nameless things again … “There are none!” both answered. … I just admitted and immediately ordered a second set … and then left them alone … I suspect they expect me to haste each and everything …
which I cannot, as you all might know … alas … anyway, I dunno what else happened last night … better leave half-Elves and Balrogs alone …
Though, this morning both were surprisingly friendly to me … even smiling a bit … they found some pure Antrazen, best stuff to use for giving an idea of glittering Mithril-silver in a diorama … well, I have to admit, they helped a bit … though … by now they’ve both started complaining about the missing maggots again …. but, what can I say? …

enjoy, I do hope I didn’t pester you here with my passion … and … you know, don’t always take me being serious … Ent …

Err, sorry it’s me again. let me first say that this, once again, is meant as another attempt to humour. for humour ? despite of humour? – whatever it means, just let me know please, if my latest contributions pester you very much, so I will stop this immediately.
The Problem does concern very much that booklet our travelling Elrond keeps. So, to be honest, it won’t suffice all his upcoming travels in terms of pages, so to say. So there’s need of a new booklet, methinks. We decided to simply buy a second one. – See, that’s where the problem started. For buying, you clearly are in need of coiny-things. Master Elrond suggested to ask Master Barliman to help us out … I told him that he’s broke. Alas, that was 2 nights ago. Finally Elrond decided to give a free lecture about any matter. – He’s wise, you know. So, I suggested lecturing Trolls how to paint themselves. Quite a difficult subject I thought. He went in, saying “okidoke”. Last night I suggested to take a fee for all Trolls coming. “Okidoky”, he said. That very Elf seems to be very self-assured. Anyway, we agreed …

Err … to be honest, both of us weren’t sure about any success, but we kept relying on our single-person-audience … Master Thingol.
Anyway, our Travelling Elrond agreed with the structure of holding a speech and convincing Trolls how to paint themselves. First, you announce and say why you are standing there on top of that stone. [which, of course isn’t a stone-troll] … see …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_0001.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_0001.jpg[/imgz]

See the problem right away? … No Trolls, no interest … alas no money for a new booklet …. we had to go on … starting to present badly-sculpted and badly-painted Trolls, first the dumb-minded male …. first listener of all …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_00022.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_00022.jpg[/imgz]

                          then his lady …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_00032.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_00032.jpg[/imgz]

… hard to cope with by the way being in a position as a neutral photographer …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_0004.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_0004.jpg[/imgz]

Anyway, Elrond and me (the Tree) had by then aroused some interest among Trolls, which isn’t easy to get at all.
So second step in our (Elrond’s) speech was to point out the opposite, a very nice Troll, so to say …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_0005.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_0005.jpg[/imgz]

that was when we noticed something has been completely going wrong … sounds from far away first, then I heard “he’s not painted”, or “There still are sprews, you see.” … or even worse … though, to be honest, the audience increased … so Trolls were coming … first there just were some, expressing their disgust expressively …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_00062.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_00062.jpg[/imgz]

That time I tried to tell Elrond to leave that poor stage … before insisting on telling them Trolls how to paint themselves … alas

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_0007.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_0007.jpg[/imgz]

meanwhile there were only Trolls all around … me, just a poor witness was even threatened …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_0008.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_0008.jpg[/imgz]

… this was not the end … there came even more unpainted Trolls from right …

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_00091.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_00091.jpg[/imgz]

Well, to be honest, all ended up in a hassle. So, Elrond and me didn’t earn a dime. But now we know that Trolls don’t pay for a ticket.

                          [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_img_0010.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_img_0010.jpg[/imgz]

Master Travelling Elrond and me agreed today that we should change our concept next time.

The project “Talking with Trolls” went to a mess. Tonight that Elf and me must have a more serious discussion about what to do next weekend. Though time’s running out for him by now he’s not sure where to head next. … alright, I’ll find out and tell him.

As far as I am concerned those pictures pleases me a lot! A bit surrealistic those ones from Jan15 . . . 😎

Well, thank you very much for supporting me keeping on with this … though Elrond and I had a very serious discussion about how to stop them galloping Easterlings last night … at least he tried to convice them not to be too hasty … well, in case someone misses the Easterling-series sculpted by The Man, as much as I do, I felt free to collect those old Huns in resin …
that’s how I try to cope with … err … things

Well, our Travelling Elrond has to face some challenges each weekend.
Master Barliman, you were very close judging about the age of my Huns. In fact those were the early 60s when they were unleashed for about only some years by a company called Hausser, which later was called Elastolin-Hausser. All figures then were hand-painted by the company, so please don’t mis-jugde me of my poor painting-skills, please. By now I have all versions and some of the Huns’ conversions from a private collector, all in all I might call it a horde by now. They’re hard to get by and some of them are a bit expensive. Mind that Elastolin-Hausser produced 4cm and 7cm figures. When I was young I couldn’t afford any 7cm figures or war-engines. But the 4cm-ranges comes closest to 32mm-Mithril, I think.

Huns … Easterlings, I have some by now …

                                            [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_hunnen_5.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_hunnen_5.jpg[/imgz]

                                            and more …

                                            [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_hunnen_4.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_hunnen_4.jpg[/imgz]

I will have to keep them this way until The Man and the Company agree upon releasing the “Easterling-series”. So for me they so far are just substitudes I have to cope with.
