Well here is Thranduil (Xmas version). This is my first Xmas figure – I guess this has more to do with the scale than anything else.
For those who haven’t purchased yet the grey primed version really made the detail stand out and it is a very nice figure. I know CT sculpts some very nice detail, but this one seemed to look very Tom Mier (Thunderbolt Mountain) in the finesse of the detail.
Someone with more patience than myself could really go to town on the cloak with autumn leaf patterns etc.
I’m still not 100% sure if the colour of his hair is ever fully confirmed, but I’m suer it may have mentioned somewhere it was golden.

I posted on Imrahil before realising you had already posted, oops. Another nice figure Gavin, this one crys out to be painted IMHO. I’m jsut waiting to see one where the cloak is decorated etc.
I left the cloak plain. I didn’t put any decoration around the edges. Weirdly I chose the metallic blue/silk/whatever it is look totally independantly of you, and then I clicked on your gallery on the Mithril site the other day and went: huh?
I wanted someone who would look good beside the M68 Royal Guardsmen and the Mirkwood Elves I’ll eventually paint (I was disappointed by the plate armoured MS Thranduil), who would stand out as someone important, but still look practical.
