I’ve posted some painted figures but haven’t properly introduced myself. I’ve been a Tolkien nut since I was 10 years old. I love building models and painting miniatures. Mithril comes closest to an ideal representation of Middle Earth characters for me. I only have a few (some of them since the 80s) but will collect and paint more over time.

I live in Ontario, Canada and was lucky enough to visit England a few years ago where I saw this church door in Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds. Our Rick Steeves travel guide suggested that Tolkien wandered the Cotswolds and was likely inspired by this door, I’m sure you’ll recognize the scene, but they are Yew trees, not Holly.
