A simpler way of socialising in that sense would be via personal emails. Then there would be no need to create linguistic enclaves on MMP, and no extra work for Gildor! And, I dunno, is it just me, or does the idea of having language-exclusive threads seem a bit, well, “unfriendly”?
Incidentally, how many “different language” speakers are there on MMP? Certainly there are French, German, Spanish English and Croat, at the very least, but are there any others? I’ve never thought to look. Any Italians out there? Or Dutch? (Mind you, all the Dutch people I’ve ever met speak better English than I do – comes from the similar backgrounds of our tongues I suppose. As an aside, if you ever want to be astonished by the similarities than can exist between languages, just take a look at a Frisian edition of The Hobbit and then an English one…)
May 6, 2011 at 8:49 pm #17275Er, admittedly, Frisian editions of The Hobbit are unlikely to be available from your local library…..
May 6, 2011 at 11:26 pm #17277Huoommm, here you’re right, Master Barliman.

Er, sorry, wandering wayyyyyyy off topic there (contrary to my own advice!)
May 7, 2011 at 8:17 am #17284English is quite sufficient here…. thanks and all of us could learn it better…
May 7, 2011 at 9:05 am #17286I don’t speak english very well but I understand all of you, that’s the most important thing I suppose.
Master Cameosis, you speak Japanese? 日本語話せますか。
May 7, 2011 at 9:21 am #17287Actually, you write it better than many Englishmen do, Master Faramir, so you should have no worries whatsoever on that score. In fact, I find that everyone on MMP, regardless of nationality, copes with the complexities of English astonishingly well. Congratulations to every one of you!

I leave 20km south from Toulouse, but am only 45min from Carcassonne. There is for sure some meeting to organise one day.
Why not sharing a cassoulet in the Citadelle?:cool:Sorry, we hobbits always think about food.

May 7, 2011 at 4:33 pm #17299well Montpellier is not really the region of Cassoulet indeed near Carcassonne in terms of “world distance”
