Such a good lot! There are a few of these I would have liked to have…
Same for me! I spent today some money to get the more recent ones I did not have! There are still a few series in the M range that I don’t have but I think I will wait for the next sale. I’ve spent too much today!
Thanks for your replies

ChrisThank you very much everyone! That’s really nice to read.
As you can see, there is still a lot of improvement to be done for instance on the wood bases.
I bought these wooden ones aaaggess ago and I don’t like them very much. I don’t know what to do to make it look better. I got new ones a couple of years but haven’t managed to use them yet.Woud painting with a less transparent color make it better? Varnishing? As well, I saw some dioramas with nice lettering used to display the name of the scene. I’ll need to find on the web some information about that.
I’ve started browsing the galleries in here, and I am really really impressed. You are really good! I know where I can get some tips for dioramas
Hello everyone!
I’ve finally decided to show some of the Mithril I’ve painted. Unfortunately I painted them aaaaggess ago, but someday when I have my own house and some time I will paint all the ones that are still in blisters .. Not in the near future though… unfortunately.
So these have been painted with oil paint. I started using acrylics but at that time there was not much information on the internet so I had my own not great painting technique and some day I saw some Mithril oil painted in some French magazines (Casus Belli and Dragon Magazine). And I was like ‘wow’. Really impressed. So I decided to take the plunge. And started painted with oil using my own techniques again
. I even had to do a smooth transition from acrylic to oil because I could not figure out how to paint faces with oil only. So at the beginning, my first oil painted Mithril (Silmarien the Mage, I can remember
) had the clothes painted with oil and the face with acrylic. Oh well anyways… those I am showing now do not have acrylic on them.
But as you can see I am not really good as well at doing the base and stuff. Some of you make very awesome dioramas ! I’d like to learn from them
So here we go….

Hi guys
I know I hardly ever post on here but I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year!
I was back in France for holidays and I took some photos of Mithril figs I painted ages ago. I think I’ll post some in the appropriate section of the forum

Hello guys!
I’am very surprised that news went that fastbut that ‘s a good thing.
So, first I’d like to thank you all for the greetings, which were really nice to read!
Ok, so I think I owe you a pint of ale or Guiness, and I’ll present myself in a couple of sentences. As you already know, my name is Christophe, and celtof came from the following two words put together: Celeborn-Christophe (I used to use the nickname Celeborn), and I’m French but I’ve been living in England for 5 years.
I started my collection of Mithril when I was in high school around 1990, and every four years I’m trying to complete it, but it’s a very difficult task. So far something like 7 minis under M83 are still missing in my collection (besides the MS and MX ones), but they are the rarest.. sigh… I’d like to have more time to go back to painting them. Maybe someday
Anyways, I’m glad to have found that place that share the same interest as me in everything related to Tolkien and Mithril
I may not be able to log here as often as I’d like though.
Cheers everyone!
