The head of Grond is the metal top of a large battering ram, used to smash gates or other obstacles. It was shaped with the head of a wolf and named ‘Grond’ in honour of the huge warhammer welded by the ultimate evil, Sauron’s previous master, Morgoth. Grond was forged in Mordor by Smithies of Barad-dûr during the final years of the Third Age.
This is the 186th release in the Gold Status Fellowship club. This was the winning idea from April 2021 and was submitted by Fellowship member “Halbarad II“. This comes in one piece. It is made of an alloy of tin, zinc and antimony. The head measures 36mm in length and 18mm in height.
