South of Gondor lies the vast desert land of the Haradwaith, bordered to the north by the Harnen river and the southern marches of Mordor and to the east by the lands of Khand. Settlements are few and mostly hug the coast. Its people, the Haradrim are hardy and warlike, but are also great traders and merchants, plying their wares through the desert wastes in a trade which links Gondor and Eriador with the mysterious lands of the far south and east.
