September 28, 2009 at 4:09 pm #7177That´s a good decision, Master Tree. If you wish, you can count of my support . . .
September 28, 2009 at 4:34 pm #7178Let’s riddle!
September 28, 2009 at 4:47 pm #7179I have one I have one… what is the name of… the youngEST brother of Elwë Thingol (this does not count for the christmas riddle he, it is only to… prepare ourselves
September 28, 2009 at 4:57 pm #7180Huoommmm …. thanks, Master Caster … but: no.
That riddely things will start in late October … rhuoommm … I cannot haste, as you know …. huommm … before that some things have to be settled, as Master Gildor complained about the way riddles have been put a year ago … rhuommm … and he was right with that … see, I simply tried to find a fair way to put them riddles … huoommm … but very difficult that is, believe me …. huoommm … imagine, when you go sleeping, The Man in the Dark wakes up … hom … so what could be fair? … I don’t wan’t to have you all these PCs (personal chaoses) being switched on all day … rhuoomm … then I do not want to disturb anyone’s sleep while others have been busy for hours … so, tell me what to do as I want to be fair …. rhuoommm
(nay, this is not the first riddle though it is one) … homSeptember 28, 2009 at 5:01 pm #7181Huoommmm … that’s a good one, Master Gildor … huommm … it’s always good to prepare oneself … rhuoommm …. “being prepared” the motto was many years ago ….
September 28, 2009 at 5:36 pm #7182about your dilemna master theobald I suggest one idea : you warn us one day or two before putting the riddle… and you allow for a total 24hours of answering so that all timezones have a chance to answer it. Indeed that leave quite a lot of time to answer correctly…you just have to do more questions if need be to be able to select a winner…… mmhh ok, that’s not really optimal…
I’ll think about it a bit moreSeptember 28, 2009 at 7:46 pm #7185Gildor Inglorion wrote:I have one I have one… what is the name of… the youngEST brother of Elwë Thingol (this does not count for the christmas riddle he, it is only to… prepare ourselvesI know! I know! I tell you in a private message so others can keep playing
October 21, 2009 at 10:26 pm #7479Well, Master Gildor,
I think you understood my problem well. I think your idea of announcing the exact date for the first question of the riddle before it is put makes some sense, as then there’s that 24 hours for everybody on this globe having a real chance to answer without setting the clock at a time he/she doesn’t want to wake up. That’s a good idea (though I tried to avoid this problem with my last years riddle for quite a while – or was anybody able to guess about the horses of the chariot?)
So, simply the riddle must be that ridiculous, that again time will not matter – may there be 24 hours or a day or even more. All this leaves me alone with putting the riddle as fair as I can.
So I will try to do again.
If anyone around here gives me a go, or even agrees, I might start at the Ent of October … but I cannot haste everything, as you know ….October 22, 2009 at 7:55 am #7480OK, Master Theobald, it is good to know, that you are about to give us a new Christmas riddle. And I give you that GO !
October 22, 2009 at 4:20 pm #7481well I suppose we are ready
October 22, 2009 at 6:41 pm #7483*Expectation grows as the orange autumn colours begin to fade into brown, and snow starts to come down from the highest mountain peaks*
October 22, 2009 at 6:54 pm #7484This is nice formulated, Master Maenas.
Today I sat in my favourite Café having a strong Mauro (famous italian café-Mistress Wendy should know this . . . ) and one of this legendary chech beer and
similar words flew to my mind while watching at the colours of the trees . . . It was cold.October 23, 2009 at 9:32 pm #7493Thank you all for your replies. – So I will try. Rhuoommm … hard work that is, believe me.
Anyway, please give me at least one more week, which really is a very short time as you know, to think more thouroughly about all this … rhuoommm … there has to be a prize … there has to be a riddle, maybe more … there are time zones … alas, so much to consider … rhuoomm …October 24, 2009 at 7:56 am #7499and there are people who may not have access to the internet during periods of time lol
(away from nov 3rd to 13rd but I’ll try to log on and participate anyway)October 24, 2009 at 10:56 am #7501I won’t even understand what’s going on, but I shall do my best!

We are very mindful of the coming days ….October 24, 2009 at 7:12 pm #7514Alright, as I do not want to exclude anybody for not being able to take part in this because of some missing internet-access I will post my first question here November 15 this year.
I’d rather prefer that 24 hours time-space Master Gildor suggested for answering each question as it might fit the sun’s turning around the globe. This means that within 24 hours we’ll see some answers. Then there’s to decide which are right, which are wrong, and which of the right were first. – Is that right, does that meet your agreement?
That does not mean that a question can be answered in 24 hours, of course, as you might know.October 24, 2009 at 7:22 pm #7515Rhuuuoommmm … first of all Christmas is not approaching at all, Master Erchamion … not at all, or did you so far see a tree having left all its leaves … ? … rhuoommmm … and nervous I am not … huoommm … I will never play the Christmas Tree in them Pony premises again for sure … somehow the barkeep misunderstood me last year … rhuoomm … as for decorations for the Pony … rhuoomm … it’s just up to me cleaning them wargskin doormats … huoommmmm
