In this gallery I would like to present conversions of Mithril figures. As this Mathom House of Michel Delving is not part of Gildor’s Gallery or Database I think It#s so far the only place where to put them.
I think that some of you might be interested in just having a look at these figures. I just do not want to hide them.
Please mind that these are “conversions” and not “variants”. Here I try to keep strictly to Gildor’s definition of these terms.

I would like to start with “The Falconer”.
            It’s a conversion of the M16.
This one was made by Hsf62, aka Holger or ‘Master Caster’.
            He painted her himself.
            Thank you Holger.

Well, by now I understand what Gildor has done for us so far …. I need more time for uploading more. But maybe now you’ve got an idea what this “conversion gallery” is about.
I hope you will enjoy … you also might leave comments here just for me to know if this is worth it (they will be deleted later, of course). E.g. the chariot will find a place here and other conversions that some of you might have never seen before. Let me know, please.
(You see. at the moment I’m not that busy any more and I can afford to spend some time at my hobby.)

A second conversion of the M16 is known. The one holding a banner.
                Again, thanks to Holger.

                  Based on the LT13.

There are two conversions of the M293 (Haradan mounted chieftain):

                      1.

                      [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_m293_var_i_v.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_m293_var_i_v.jpg[/imgz]

                      2.

To compare you will find them to the left and to the right of the original figure:

Ahhh, after a long time some examples of the great work of my favourite artist: Master Estel ! :D
Better to say: A LOT OF work. Fantastic ! That is exactly the way I like it, especially: the choice of colour-scheme.
Great horses, great armour-clothing, great flags !
By the way: what is that sign in the top-left corner of the easterling´s flag ? :/
Not to forget: the flags are great, yes they are . . .
PS: can´t stand it to see the coloured Hama. Don´t hesitate too long to give us the result . . .

Oh, thank you for the quickly reply, Nicolai.

I have to stress that those two conversions of the Haradan mounted officer were not made by Hsf62. They were casted by someone else. Furtheron I will refer to him as N.N. as he doesn’t want to have his name published. I have to respect that. I said furtheron because I have more pics of other conversions made by him available.

This is what this thread is about; to collect pics of conversions.

This conversion was meant to re-create the “lost Angrenost Guardsman”.

Thanks Theobald for starting this thread. It gives us a chance to see some figures which otherwise might not see the light of day. I think though for clarity I should mention that there are two varities of conversions shown here and the difference is important for people to understand what it is that they are seeing. The first kiind is what I like to refer to as the “cut and paste” conversion. This is simply cutting figures apart to build new ones with all Mithril parts or substitute parts. It is a practice I used to engage in back when Mithril were more easily (and cheaply) obtained. Here are several examples done by me over 10 years ago (hence the poor painting).[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/21_x-mas_08_022.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/21_x-mas_08_022.jpg[/imgz]
                                        [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/21_x-mas_08_026.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/21_x-mas_08_026.jpg[/imgz]

The other conversion type shown here (above posted by Theobald) are cast conversions. These are ‘cut and pasted’ then cast as whole figures. Both Holger and NN (no name?) have done excellent work and are very creative as is Estel!

In between I would like to inform that the figures by N.N. are castings. Just as those our Master Caster does.
It’s not just about ripping off a head here and add it to another body there to have a new figure.
That’s easy, could be done by anyone having the skill to do so. Casting is much more difficult.
