Hello
I’ve just discovered this amazing site. Chapeau bas !
When I was a young student playing AD&D days and nights long, I’ve bought some mithril figs just to play. Of course, we all found there was th e most beautiful figs.
20 years after, I’m a common father with a 9 years old son who has discovered a old heavy bag in the cave … my figs collection sleeping for so many years.
In the middle of a thousand figs shine about 80 mithril figs, the most from the M1-100, maybe all of them. Unfortunatly, some of them disliked the many unprotected travels (by instance, the troll with mace rating 40 € wich has broken his mace… argh).
Although I’m still in love, I have to say although I fell in love one more time with these figs, I’ ready to sell them.Is that possible through this site ?
For the moment I will use your incredible database to put a name, a M number et an estimated price for all these jewels (I’ve still have a little tear when looking M1 Galadriel).

November 25, 2008 at 10:45 pm #3648Aww, congratulations.
I lost a lot of the old Mithrils when I was a teenager. They disappeared into a cousin’s attic and never emerged again.
I often buy broken Mithrils for my various projects though.
do keep in mind that the database lists the “average” ebay price and sometimes the bidding can go higher – or a lot lower.
Good luck selling your “jewels”
Gavin
November 25, 2008 at 11:49 pm #3650Welcome here Elendil, and thanks for your good comments
Well you can always use the forum to post trades (in the crossroads of Esgaroth section… Tharbad is rather for auctions and ebay… ) (there are fields you can fill in your profile to put figs or to see who among us is looking for a fig in particular) and then use the boards to communicate with them… I have no structure to allow direct sale or buying here.. that’s not the purpose anyway but I am sure you will find very interested collectors around
But please keep deals and money stuff in private mails
November 26, 2008 at 12:17 am #3651Don’t worry ! I won’t change this passionate site in a commercial one !
Simply, as I decided to separate from myself “my treasure”, I would prefer to send them to people who can really appreciate them.
I begun to make a XL file and I will send it on demand when I will finish. But I’m very sad, I can’t find my prefered one who is the little girl of M59 Female hobbit with Children, sniff…

November 28, 2008 at 11:56 pm #3671Welcome Elendil …. huooommm … I would like to tell you that your decision about offering your Mithrils here in first place (rather than doing that on Ebay) has been a step I really do appreciate very much. Thank you for that …. hom.

I noticed there are a lot of german fellows . I’m living in Elsass, just behind the Rhine. If you are not too far, we can reduce much shipping costs.

It seems that things like this happen when I really want something, but that is the way it goes I guess. -
