I’m about to start painting my Frumgar (MX456), but I would love to see the work of others to get me inspired!
Would anyone care to post pictures of their painted Frumgars on this topic.
It would be nice to have a thread similar to the Imrahil thread.
Thanks!

December 1, 2009 at 10:48 pm #8179Your colors blend together so nicely! They never look out of place, or garish, or too bright. They are all unified by some common theme.. very nice!
December 2, 2009 at 4:31 am #8181I took a few pictures featuring my Frumgar miniature, but this was with one of the older cameras. The results were less than satisfactory. And you can see some interesting artefacts of the paint job. I’ll take him out and fix him up better sometime in the near year, though.

December 2, 2009 at 4:44 am #8182For a skilled artisan, you’re very hard on yourself! I think your Frumgar is great, as is the diorama. By the way, what surface do you use to mount your figures on? I like the look.
December 2, 2009 at 8:16 am #8184Great paintjobs! Thanks for letting me festing my eyes
December 2, 2009 at 3:53 pm #8190The figures are all mounted on “fender” type washers. There’s a logic to them: 25mm fenders for soldier figures, 30mm fenders for heroes/captains/wizards, 40mm fenders for wolves, wargs and so forth and 50mm fenders for horses.
December 2, 2009 at 6:55 pm #8195Thanks Gavin. I don’t know what “fender” washers are, but are they similar to regular washers?
Also, question for everyone: do you cut off the pieces connecting the horse’s hooves to the ground? Or do you leave them in place and try to color those little pieces to blend in with the ground, so your horse has extra support?
December 2, 2009 at 9:38 pm #8197George, let me help you: Fender is a famous american bass-guitar company . . . 😆

December 2, 2009 at 10:03 pm #8198“Fender washers” are washers with a smaller hole in them! :p
Means there’s more “space” on the metal to glue things to.
Like these blokes. This was the quickest google result I found. I know the ones I buy are made in Quebec someplace, but others probably come from China.
December 3, 2009 at 12:07 am #8199Cool, thanks!
By the way, Fender also makes guitars of the 6-string variety!
