the new Bandobras Took “dual” has been announced. I must say that I was a bit perplex about the Golfimbul…. I had the opportunity to express my “perplexity” to Chris a while ago (as he had asked me my feedback) and I think Golfimbul lacks any kind of interactivity with Bandobras, it is just another armored orc running, it could be taken without Bandobras and nobody would fail to understand he is “running away” or fleeing, or that it is a goblin chieftain….
I had thought Chris would do something but as it was already sculpted I think it was too late …
I asked Michael and Chris for a mounted Bandobras Took despite it was a single month vote;
So when I got the picture of my proposition, I was really amazed
I would have thought (allowing for the second figure) that Golfimbul could have been facing Bandorbras ready to face him down moments before parting company with his head .
Well, I do share Master Gildor’s judgement about that running orc. There’s no “interactivity” or coherence with the rider at all. – Just turn that orc around and there’s another attacking orc, close to the pose of the left-handed M330 (which I really like) or those orcs with scimitars of the “Orc Army” (e.g. that A5c).
Well, Master Milo. I received that leaflet “Old woman with child”. As there clearly is a large fold in her apron, I think that only the baby child to fit in there is missing.
Maybe he is asking his dwarven companions to calm down… “shh.. sh… I am going to speak.”
I like the miniature very much too, and in general love Chris’s dwarfs vision being this one a really nice example.
