The thing, that Mr. Tubb wants to create a stock for a guarantee of monthly releases I heard since a year and three months.
Far more interesting is the missing webside.I am the second one who dearly regret that there has not been any promotion for Phaeton-Design figures. Still!
Tell somebody out there to find them and he will be lost inside the www . . .
In this days as a fellowship member ammong all of you …I read many times…a lot of comments realtives with the upcoming miniatures or series …never come…I know many of you are disapointed or feels bad in diferent ways…I can’t know how do you feel…may years waiting …but…as only I can say….is….”If we fight as Orcs!!!”…(all together) we can see ours dreams become true!!!
I belive the companies are not only the Mannagers…are the costumers too..may be…we need to llearn something too…and if we want to change something…like more series…etc…. we can help to find more ways…like this one for example!

just as a little side note, I’d just like to say that Mithril may have won a lot of money this month of december, with those among us who are on autoshipment…
In less than two weeks, betwen Nov 20th and yesterday, I have received three invoices of autoshipment of 40~44€ each (each time for two figs or for Bandobras)
120€ for mithril in a month that’s quite a lot oO… I’d prefer them to be more regular and not release everything just before Xmas….

As far as I can tell :
all the following figurines are sculpted already (seen them) and if not yet, almost ready for production :
– Thorondil (very good pose)
– Merien (nice princess)
– Eldacar vs Castamir (quite good, though I’d wish there was a common base and not two separate figs…)
– Roac & Thorin (very pretty)
– Vorondil the Hunter (another spearman, though I did not see it as a remake)
– Golasgil of Anfalas (mounted like a gondorian officer, we have several examples of this one though none in this same pose)
which means that sculpting is done until at least October 2014, which is not bad
I did not get authorization for disclosure so I hope you won’t be upset if I do not post pics…
Thank you for this important information, Gildor, as it supports my hope that still something has been going on. – Well, as for not being allowed to publish pics, I don’t mind at all.
Unfortunately your query about the future of Phaeton-Design does not seem to have been answered.
Nice to know that The Man has got that far. It’ll be even nicer to see them released, though that takes us back to the subject of Mithril’s tardiness, alas. Looking forward to seeing nearly all of these (princesses hold little interest for me)..
Well, tardiness you say, Master Barliman. But what can you do if the mould-maker, the dispatch team, and them all have been busy doing a painterman’s job and reconstructing and extending buildings. There’s no time for producing any metal figures left, I’m afraid. – Though, there’s hope. At least The Man did not have to help out.

I think, the “sculptur” doesn´t want to collaborate at all . . .
Still I admit the Man said himself he did not want his artistic and sculpture work to be dictated or decided by a commitee (I suggested him in the past to do so actually, by sharing his work in progress pics with us and receiving “on the run” feedback, and he strictly refused “collaboration”), still he really cares and wants feedback but it’s true it is not his desire to share “work in progress” to have feedback during the sculpting process… that’s how I understood it and it was clear enough I think, and well I can accept that…
Having a look at the work in progress usually does not change a lot of things because I’m certain some among us saw pics and gave feedback in private but the end result did not change because it was “too late”…. The only collaboration that is possible is “posterior feedback” intended for forthcoming work….
Strong discusion indeed… hm.. here are many interesting questions which should be answered.. but one answer is definitely clear…

Well, he’s been referred to as The Man on the MMP site for longer than I can remember, since before Master Gildor’s management of the site; and I don’t understand what you mean by “conspiracy”.
I can’t imagine that Chris would mind. I call my wife “Shorty”, which isn’t her name, and she doesn’t mind at all. A nickname is a nickname, and a sign of affection.

About pictures for work in progress. When I first joined GF, I thought winner could exchange with sculptor. I think it could usefull for pose, dressing, scenary at the very beginning.
At the end, as long as minis are released “in time” by the company, we should not need nor expect sculpt previews!
I much rather watching MMP work in progress in the Sam wise art galery. And I notice there are not many news about MMP works neither.
Now back on NT. It’s a shame we still cannot buy these. Some kind of dream nowadays….

OK, let’s clear this up once and for all. “The Man” in US/UK parlance simply means the principal, best, leading, most noted or most skilled individual in a particular field. Perhaps it doesn’t translate well, or at all, into other languages, but here it’s a term of respect, or even affection. I’m sure every other European tongue uses nicknames, so I can’t understand why The Man having one is suddenly a problem, especially since everyone on this forum knows eaxctly who’s being referred to. It certainly hasn’t been an issue for the past 10 years. Or are we going PC here?
