Interestingly enough I started painting Imrahil, Aragorn and Eomer at the same time with the intention of making up a threesome, but I decided that Imrahil just deserved his own space without being detracted by other figures.I think I also found that the scene I particularly wanted to do was envisaged more from what I thought I had read and not what was actually in the book (I think!! :rolleyes: )

Why not making a special gallery for Imrahil with all the painted versions of the members in it? Nice to compare different styles like the painting competition.

Like sir Galahad from a knight of King Arthur’s Round Table and one of the three achievers of the Holy Grail in Arthurian legend. Only with different symbols on the flag and shield.
Your Imrahil looks very nice George !!!!. . . looks a bit like Master Nigel Terry in that Excalibur-film, somewhere in the eighties . . .

you are 100% right my friend.. ouuuuh I like this picture !!!!!!! … but Galahad was like George’s Imrahil on the end of the movie with long hair and beard….especially at the end of the movie when he rides with the sword to the lake shore and he has no strength to throw it…. finaly this movie is one of my favorite… I have seen it 10 times and I always find some more magic in this myth 😆
