Well, Master Ent, between your vision and the Man’s talent, you created a masterpiece.
I uploaded the picture over on The Last Alliance as a sort of gentle nudge towards certain miscreants.
When the full set comes out, I will get the Swan Knights vignette and the M series and I will have a nice little force of them.
I also bought a second Imrahil to go with the Aragorn and Eomer MS piece and hopefully create a small and poignant vignette.

April 20, 2008 at 6:36 pm #1953Huoommm … Gavin, that was some of my thoughts were about after the release of the MS470 Eomer, swiping away his sweat from the forhead, starting to greet Aragorn at the end of the battle at the ‘Pelennor Fields’. … But to me an important figure still was missing. Of course I’m not talking about Gandalf. Let me try to explain:
When I for the first time read that trilogy and came upon those pages when the battle at the Pelennor Fields was won, there was a Prince with his knights smashing a flank of the Mordor troops … you couldn’t believe why those Swan-Knights arrived … and who took the decision to place them in time to put another threat on the Mordor masses … in time, when Aragorn unleashed the Undead from the Corsair’s vessels.
So to me it was clear that ‘Prince Imrahil’ has to fit with the Aragorn&Eomer- vignette. First I imagined that Imrahil holding his head up (greeting Minas Tirith and bearing the standard of the ‘Swan knighs’, proudly, but battered. Then Chris suggested that it would be better to have the angle of the head being more focused sideways and down … so things happen …. and in the end find a solution ….
thank you …April 22, 2008 at 12:55 pm #1959Hey Gavin. Nice painting!
If ddaines doesn’t mind sharing, I’ve given you the designation of ‘Skilled Artisan’ also. You contribute stuff so you deserve a special title.
If there’s a particular title you’d like, let me know. It’s fun having power.
April 22, 2008 at 1:04 pm #1960Thank you very much, Mistress Wendy.
uhm, I’ll be contributing a lot more in months to come. I still have a lot of experimentation to do with the photography – it might be worth investing in a good camera later in the year though.
A lot of the delay was due to needing natural light and not wishing to hang around in the snow to get it. The rest was the strange saga of my new mini tripod.
I should have more pics tommorrow for you all.
Gavin
April 22, 2008 at 6:28 pm #1967Hey Wendy, no worries I hope we are joined by some more Interestingly enough I started painting Imrahil, Aragorn and Eomer at the same time with the intention of making up a threesome, but I decided that Imrahil just deserved his own space without being detracted by other figures.
I think I also found that the scene I particularly wanted to do was envisaged more from what I thought I had read and not what was actually in the book (I think!! )
April 23, 2008 at 5:48 am #1973If having power isn’t in order to have fun, Mistress Wendy, then I don’t know what it is for – and there’s some world leaders around who could do with understanding that too!
May 18, 2008 at 11:36 pm #2242Hello Theobald,

May 19, 2008 at 2:35 pm #2245Thank you, Master Zoetrop, the best compliment to receive is having a look to your paint-job. Excellent! What I especially like about it is that you pointed out the harness of the horse appropriately as I asked Chris to add details to show that also the horse is of a royal breed.
Thank you for providing the pics here, Zoetrop.
(I wish I had one of those figures myself )May 20, 2008 at 2:09 pm #2251Good idea my brush wielding friend! We make up our own painting competition.
May 20, 2008 at 4:10 pm #2254Huoommm …. to be honest, Master Estel, I do not understand your question about another MX and sharing …. sorry. My abilities coping with other languages than Entish are very much limited.

November 18, 2009 at 7:42 am #7890Like sir Galahad from a knight of King Arthur’s Round Table and one of the three achievers of the Holy Grail in Arthurian legend. Only with different symbols on the flag and shield.
Your Imrahil looks very nice George !!!!November 18, 2009 at 12:03 pm #7891. . . looks a bit like Master Nigel Terry in that Excalibur-film, somewhere in the eighties . . . ๐
By the way: I like this film! And I like your Imrahil, George. And of course yourยดs as well, Master Thingol.
Look:[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_nigel-terry.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_nigel-terry.jpg[/imgz]
November 18, 2009 at 1:02 pm #7892I loved that film! (Although he may want to “re-think” that Olivia Newton John headband from the 1980’s).
๐
November 18, 2009 at 1:04 pm #7893you are 100% right my friend.. ouuuuh I like this picture !!!!!!! … but Galahad was like George’s Imrahil on the end of the movie with long hair and beard….especially at the end of the movie when he rides with the sword to the lake shore and he has no strength to throw it…. finaly this movie is one of my favorite… I have seen it 10 times and I always find some more magic in this myth ๐
p.s. 1. This is another confirmation that we like the same little things… master of Mirkwood
p.s. 2. George see your Imrahil is full of inspiration for some of us….
