PS: Thanks for your kind words!
November 18, 2009 at 8:24 pm #7897. . . some people are finding new friends here . . .
And George, it is enough to watch the movie at once . . .
It was the right decision becoming a member here . . .November 18, 2009 at 11:16 pm #7898Very nice job George on one of the best figures sculpted by Chris
November 18, 2009 at 11:39 pm #7899Do you think so, David?! I am not quiet sure. What is wrong with the horse?!
November 19, 2009 at 6:24 am #7901Christoph – I give up. What is wrong with the horse?
November 19, 2009 at 10:00 am #7902As I said, I am not quiet sure either . . . I think we will have to wait a little time.
I think I have finished my Imrahil to show what I mean. Then we will see- I hope . . .November 19, 2009 at 8:06 pm #7907rita.de wrote:Do you think so, David?! I am not quiet sure. What is wrong with the horse?!When I saw the primed photographs of this figure and if you look closely, there is I think a little discrepency regarding the proportion of the hind legs (that was all I could comment on), but visually this is one of my favourites by Chris, and once painted I don’t notice anything wrong .
Look forward to seeing your version Christoph – if it follows the standard of what’s gone before it will be a fantastic miniature .
November 19, 2009 at 10:54 pm #7908No doubt! You have a close look, Mr. David Daines. I knew that. I also noticed this leg-proportion-problem.
Could it be that the legs are a touch too short . . . ?
But there is something else: the neck and the head. There is something that irritates me . . .
Well, my favourite horse is certainly Felarof, the MS460, but have a look at Theodred´s horse: the neck and the head is looking better . . .
I don´t know, this is only scrutinizing (what a word).[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_brego56.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_brego56.jpg[/imgz]
November 19, 2009 at 11:56 pm #7909Actually looking at Theodred’s horse, visually (to me) this looks to be long in the legs and short in the neck and the ‘front-end’ looks a little bit ‘bunched’. maybe the shoulder mass could have been a little bit lower? but still a very nice figure
November 20, 2009 at 2:59 am #7910I’m curious. on the topic of Excalibur. When people in Germany, Croatia, France, Spain, etc watch an English language movie – do you get it with subtitles in your own language? Or do you just listen to it in English?
Just curious.
November 20, 2009 at 4:39 am #7911One more random question: does anyone know of any King Arthur miniatures? I did a google search without much luck..
November 20, 2009 at 4:53 am #7912Actually, here are some:
http://www.leisuregames.com/acatalog/Legendary_Figures.htmlNovember 20, 2009 at 6:38 am #7913I use both of ways to watch the movies….watching with subtitles “stupid” movies…. listen on English movies like LOTR… and some films that are processed by well-known literary works… this is important for me because of I want to learn better….
and one of King Arthur you could find here…
http://www.andrea-miniatures.com/market/AspsProductos/Detalle.asp?IdProductoDetalle=363But guys let’s stay on Imrahil…please…. it is my fault for confusion on the topic…
November 20, 2009 at 7:15 am #7914Absolutely my own impression too, Master Dave! – but he still looks very nice once painted – the problem then seems to vanish, unless you look very hard!
November 20, 2009 at 10:00 am #7915George, the link you posted ( leisuregames ) shows the King Artus range from: http://www.thunderboltmountain.com ! Have a look there and you find lots of more fantastic miniatures.
November 20, 2009 at 10:03 am #7916Well, that horse discussion is very interesting, isn´t it. Worth, having an own topic . . .

Worth, having an own topic . . .It could go on forever , I just prefer to overlook any slight ‘blips’ and enjoy CT’s work as is, and as Barli says, most ‘blips’ vanish when the paint is applied. No sculptor is 100% perfect; look at Michaelangelo he even carved a statue without arms!!!!
November 21, 2009 at 3:11 pm #7942rhuoommmm … must have been a ‘torso’ … which is not unusual … rhuoommm … but that Master Michelangelo did not only carve … but also sculpted … huoommm … there’s a slight differerence , as far as I know … rhuoommm … anyway, he didn’t use wood doing that …hom
August 19, 2010 at 12:49 pm #11460… hmm … as time goes by … I dare to ask if anybody has painted that Imrahil-variant yet.
