those question in the marketplace from master Jacob gave me ideas for a trivia topic so well here it goes…
I’d like to inaugurate with this question :
Among the mithril range, which figurine is an autoportrait of its sculptor ?
the winner asks the next one
“Elves seldom give unguarded advice, for advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill.” (Gildor Inglorion, LOTR1)
May 12, 2021 at 3:17 pm #48379May 14, 2021 at 3:02 pm #48380Ok my question:
we all know M16 Female Ranger is one of the most rare and difficult to find Mithril mini’s, if not the most rare. But what specifically caused this miniature to become so rare?
May 14, 2021 at 7:49 pm #48381the master was fragile and the ankle broke easily thus making it impossible to recast because moulds could not be remade either.
(actually I recently learned the same happened to four moulds in the fantasy army ranges…652 653 658 669, and thus the reeditions of those moulds only count 2 figurines instead of 3 originally, because they were not able to reproduce moulds , the brass master being broken, making them quite rare too)

May 17, 2021 at 2:25 pm #48385More than the Elven Mariner figure as well I guess
May 17, 2021 at 7:49 pm #48386well this leads me to a trivia question , more of a riddle :
“Often thought unarmed, the edge of my faith is nevertheless not a myth, who am I ? ”
“Elves seldom give unguarded advice, for advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill.” (Gildor Inglorion, LOTR1)

And much more than MS532 “Durin VI™- king of Khazad-dum”

May 18, 2021 at 10:54 pm #48389Don’t forget the MS437 Halbarad, please.
May 19, 2021 at 3:28 pm #48392So maybe I have put my question wrong, but we have learned from it. Or some of us .
May 20, 2021 at 10:05 am #48393but was my answer right?
“Elves seldom give unguarded advice, for advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill.” (Gildor Inglorion, LOTR1)
May 20, 2021 at 4:09 pm #48394Yes I think it’s right.
May 20, 2021 at 6:02 pm #48395then I already asked the next question
“Elves seldom give unguarded advice, for advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill.” (Gildor Inglorion, LOTR1)
