      Hi fellows,
I wish to show you part of my works.

      [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/553_medium_m14.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/553_medium_m14.jpg[/imgz]
      [mith]M14[/mith] – Arthedain captain

Fisrt of all, this is my very first Mithril Miniature I bought and it’s still one off my favourites.
I painted this miniature in 1988 when I was 15 years old.
Since, I lost it’s shield and sheath. I replaced missing shield by a plastic one and I sculpted a new sheath out of balsa in 2001.
if someone has either arthedain shield and/or its sheath, contact me, I will pay for it !)

Oh, I am afraid there is something wrong. May I help you. You have to go to:”upload image” at the very top of the side. Then you have to choose your file . . .
You have to wait a little bit, after that you have to copy that file-code into your “field”. Good luck !

I just read that you’re working on Moria.

I started such diorama in 1994. I finished last Orcs painting in 1998 !
            It contains the following sets:

            [mith]M124[/mith] – Strider
            [mith]M125[/mith] – Gandalf
            [mith]M128[/mith] – Boromir

            [mith]M149[/mith] – Half-troll commander
            [mith]M150[/mith] – Uruk
            [mith]M151[/mith] – Orcs of Mordor
[mith]MB300[/mith] – The Balrog of Moria
            [mith]M309[/mith] – Orc warband leader
            [mith]M310[/mith] – Mordor Orc standard-bearer
            [mith]M311[/mith] – Mordor Orc archers
            [mith]M313[/mith] – Armoured Orcs (axe/warhammer)
            [mith]M328[/mith] – Lugburz Orc tracker
            [mith]M331[/mith] – Lugburz Orc fighting
            [mith]M333[/mith] – Lugburz great Uruk
            [mith]M334[/mith] – Lugburz captain w/whip
            [mith]M335[/mith] – Snagas (small Orcs)

It is not complete yet as I intend to add behind Aragorn and Boromir Exit stairs with the other members of the fellowship
            ([mith]M123[/mith] – Frodo & Sam, [mith]M126[/mith] – Legolas, [mith]M127[/mith] – Gimli, [mith]M129[/mith] – Merry & Pippin)
I thinked also of adding a cathedral’s roof with red lighting but I do not have time anymore (maybe when I am retired)

Here is what is looks like:

Column are sculpted out of balsa square sections. A long, very long time it take to obtain 4 hexagonal hollow pilars !
Both sides are in polystyrene, covered with plaster, and painted.
The bridge is made of clay, sculpted and painted.
Tiled floor is made of cardboard, each tile being rounded at corners, and painted.
Edge cliff shields are flat Warhamer plastics all painted one by one. I used Moria anvil model provided by JRR Tolkien on Moria’s door illustration.

I don’t know if you noticed the little fake diamond I added at gandalf’s stick tip.

              Enjoy it ?

About Moria, I also made this diorama (achieved in 1992).

It contains full Chamber of Marzabul set:

                      [mith]M281[/mith] – Strider fighting w/Orc chief
                      [mith]M282[/mith] – Legolas loosing arrow & Gimli
                      [mith]M283[/mith] – Boromir parrying w/Orc attacking
                      [mith]M284[/mith] – Cave Troll
                      [mith]M285[/mith] – Balin’s tomb
                      [mith]M286[/mith] – Doorway
                      [mith]M287[/mith] – Sam & Frodo
                      [mith]M288[/mith] – Orc-archer & Orc w/spear
                      [mith]M289[/mith] – Gandalf casting spell
                      [mith]M290[/mith] – Merry & Pippin

“[mith]M232[/mith] – Gollum” was added looking behind the eastern door as he is always sneaking everywhere.
I also included “[mith]M312[/mith] – Mordor Orc drummer” as drums’ are very present in the book at that moment.

                            Chamber of Marzabul:

Balin’s tomb is coloured because I wanted to show the mountains during 24hours time with sun or Moon rising.

Torches were also burned and fixed to the wall by iron stands.[imgz]TBD[/imgz]
I created book with balsa + painted paper. Some opened book contain elfic or dwarvic runes. [imgz]TBD[/imgz]
Eastern door and the table are also made of balsa and waxed. [imgz]TBD[/imgz]
Shelves where found in my favourite mithril’s shop, I can’t remember any reference for it.[imgz]TBD[/imgz]

Walls are made of balsa, sculpted and painted.
Tiled floor here is made of plaster: I spreaded 3mm of plaster on a plastic stand. I let it dry and sculpted tiles one by one.
I like the result very much as it seems real once painted.

But the bridge of khazad-dum deserves special comment… so this is magnificent. Nice composition and choice of miniatures. Decoration on diorama is quite amazing and I hope we would see more than one fight made by yours imagination.

                                      Ouuuh i like this…

and for Arthedain captain… 15 years old at 1988 means that you are 37 years old like me… so we have something more than miniatures in common 😆
