To me clearly it is a Chris Tubb figure. Mind the cloak and the scrolls in the pocket, which remind me of the LR-Radagast-figure and others. It’s the same with the seam of the cloak.
The face is sculpted very detailed, like a portrait. The massive book that man carries, wearing a kind of night-cap … he seems to go to sleep reading a book. So here are pics to get you a better idea of the figure ….

[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_pa_figur_2.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_pa_figur_2.jpg[/imgz]
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_pa_figur_3.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_pa_figur_3.jpg[/imgz]see, all I want to know is if it’s a figure sculpted by Chris Tubb.
Gildor, the sub-reference, as far as I can read is:
“PRINCE ####GUST” at the bottom there’s “VL 2” or “VI 2”
I tried to find it out very carefully without damaging the metal. Though the center of the base is scrambled by the casting, I think. That’s where I put ###.
I hope there’s someone who can help me with this.
Thank you.January 16, 2011 at 3:02 pm #14540To me clearly it is a Chris Tubb figure. Mind the cloak and the scrolls in the pocket, which remind me of the LR-Radagast-figure and others. It’s the same with the seam of the cloak.

Thank you.January 16, 2011 at 3:54 pm #14542Weren’t all the figures of the all Prince August fantasy range sculpted by Mr. Tubb? I think so.
This one was the “village sage”, I think.
January 16, 2011 at 4:02 pm #14543Thank you, Arthadan … so, you might be right … I never collected those PA-fantasy-things … I’m busy with that Mithril-collection. But to me it was obvious that Mr. Tubb sculpted the figure.
January 16, 2011 at 4:12 pm #14544You’re welcome, Master Tree. By the way, the base of the figure has been trimmed. The original shape was oval. The reference is VL2.
Here you are a list with pictures of (most of) the range.
January 16, 2011 at 4:14 pm #14545For curiosity’s sake, there is even a “fire demon” which i like most than the official balrog:
January 16, 2011 at 9:00 pm #14551Thank you very much, Master Arthadan. Yes, the base has been trimmed, I know. So he’s VL2.
I’ll put my night-cap now, going to bed with a book, not forgetting to put off my glasses before I fall asleep …. thank you again …January 16, 2011 at 10:04 pm #14556Well I am in the process of filling the databas with all those PA reference
I have this one actually, this is the VL2 (ViLlage 2) from the “Friends&Foes” PA series. there are four of them.
January 17, 2011 at 10:17 am #14560Thank you all very much. I also contacted The Man about this matter and just received his answer, reading that this definitely is not a figure he sculpted. So that seems to be it, which means ‘forget it’.
January 19, 2011 at 11:27 pm #14621Please note that as of tonight, all the “Characters” range from Prince August has been added to the database (you can filter the research with the advanced search engine and choose the “Prince august Fantasy” range. All figurines from [mith]CH1[/mith] to [mith]CH38[/mith] with pictures… are there… you can also edit them in your collection manager…
this was not easy work to gather all pics and I still miss a lot of info on these but that’s a beginning….
Next I’ll add all the Friends & Foes…. which, I fear, will be quite harder to fill..
January 20, 2011 at 8:51 am #14622Once more a fantastic job, Gildor! And for those who are not that interested in the PA range- as myself- an interesting point though!
January 20, 2011 at 11:59 am #14629Great work! Since you have sauch a great relaion with PA, could you please ask them who sculpted the range? I was sure it was Chris, but Master Tree has said the Man told him it wasn’t him.
January 20, 2011 at 1:55 pm #14630the Friends&Foes range from PA may not be from Chris … but it seems the CH range (the one i filled) is from Chris…
though I can still get some confirmation… having most of those figurines myself they clearly look like sculpted by the man… but the VL are not…
Maybe I should wait and get this confirmation myself about the CH and F&F range, as it would be ill received , maybe, to publish material neither related to mithril NOR Chris…January 20, 2011 at 3:28 pm #14631I contacted The Man only about the miniature above which Gildor and Arthadan clearly identified as VL2 from “Friens and Foes”. Chris just said that the figure “clearly is not mine, but it looks like …” etc. I did not ask him about other figures or series by PA as I’m not interested in those. I just focus on Mithril.
