Huoooomm …. I clearly do agree and want to support Master Hsf62’s statement … huom … not forgetting that Master Milo was absolutely right in trying you, Master Fabrice Jacob, to convince to stay here … huòmm … that is what I would like to stress
December 15, 2019 at 12:17 am #38235Stay, take a break if needs be and come back refreshed and perhaps try different techniques that are kinder on the eyes – I now use ink washes to show detail where once I could paint eyes
December 15, 2019 at 7:50 am #38236I wrote to you in private Fabrice and renew my apologies (and some… private explanations), definitly you should stay there is nothing against you at all
February 19, 2020 at 1:39 pm #38371First effects of global warming on our Mithril ? 😆

March 2, 2020 at 7:52 pm #38430Nice, I like this old prject!
March 3, 2020 at 8:38 am #38431Very nice…
March 3, 2020 at 11:16 am #38432Great hobbit hole !
March 3, 2020 at 3:21 pm #38437Thank you. Glad you like it. It was a great project that required quite a bit of time for painting. The number of characters involved in the production is quite substantial. Today, I don’t think I can, for lack of time and motivation, make such a skit. But an idea comes to me, why not make one with the different talents of each other (painters, model makers …) on this forum? What do you think ? If you are ready, you will have to define a scene from the “lord of the rings” or “Bilbo” and define a small specification with who does what …

March 3, 2020 at 9:45 pm #38440Very tempting Master Fabrice JACOB. The problem being… I’m not a painter nor a model maker…
March 3, 2020 at 10:28 pm #38445Wonderful work

if you want to color a figurine, don’t hesitate, I’m your painter !
March 4, 2020 at 5:07 pm #38449Dear hsf62, are you a pure collector ?
Have you managed to put all your figurines in a display case or do you keep them in their original blister ?
It seems that many of you are mostly pure collectors, isn’t it ?March 4, 2020 at 9:16 pm #38451hsf62 wrote:Very tempting Master Fabrice JACOB. Of course, Fabrice it’s a compliment for your 5* work !
And also, it’s a good idea trying to do a “community work” !
I’ve, some years ago, painted figures (1/72 scale) for a friend who is an experimented dioramas maker.
Now he paints his figures alone !
But it was fine to see my figures in his diorama ! 😎Sam (Pascal )
March 4, 2020 at 10:56 pm #38452I’m mostly a converter and recaster . (Mastercaster ) http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/6_m16cca1.jpg

Who is she ? (I suppose Eowin but not sure … ) and I don’t recognise the original figure …
And so you don’t paint , Master Caster ? … what a pity …March 5, 2020 at 5:46 am #38455Not any more. [mith][/mith] The original figure was a M16 aswell as the following. http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/6_hsf62_02.jpg

It seems that many of you are mostly pure collectors, isn’t it ?On my side, my bigger pleasure remains to paint minis and build little dioramas.
I make Middle Earth dioramas with mithrils exclusively, this since 1988.But, I am slow painter, and with real life, lack on time becomes the ennemy. My dream is to have all my minis painted and in tiny scenes.
When I came back on mithrils 10 years ago I became also a “furious” collector and I have even more pleasure finding treasures and helping others filling holes..
Well, This is what I would call a strong mithril addict isn’t it ?
March 5, 2020 at 9:38 am #38459Master Holger : your re-casted M16 are absolutely beautiful ! I like both …
and I’m impressed also with the fact that you used 2 very rare figures for doing those master-works !:mad:Master Milo, being a “furious” collector is a sort of religion, isn’t it ?
I’ve chosen to stop and sell the big part of mine, Mithril and other stuff (mainly 1/72).
I needed place and also, I realized that I never could paint them all…
But nevertheless, I realize too that I would like to have some figures in double: one painted and one unpainted,
especially the Hobbits… so I continue the hunt for some of them. -
