        Good morning all,

Truly this little Irish factory is full of anecdotal achievements. Here is one of the lifting ! Many thanks to Théobald for sharing one of his treasures with us.

Thank you very much for your compliments.
Do I really deserve them ?
Photos do not always faithfully convey the chromatic reality. But I am glad that you are adhering to the color schemes.
I have always associated the idea that I could have of the armed men of Gondor with that of John Howe. The discovery of the representation of soldiers on the high towers of Minas Tirih, which he made in 1990, immediately resonated with me.

Today, I think I couldn’t paint the Gondorian Mithril any other way.

A very long time ago … while Jacques, by espousing the Godorian color codes, had painted Pippin (and Bergil, ref M 196) I decided to make it exactly negative. While hers was dark with her uniform, mine would be bright, a little like that wonderful light that emanates from J. Howe’s illustration.

Well, that’s what I was hoping for …:/

just for the fun of it, Master Fabrice and Master Milo, too …
… just have a look here on MMP at the “Gondorian cavalry” to be found in the “Mathom House of Michel Delving”. At the bottom of page 2 you might see some Gondorian riders. I received them a very long time ago from a very kind person.
Alas, just keep a smile on your face in these and the coming days.

Sorry, I see I’m in the wrong thread here ..

                      Hello Mithril Nautes !
I am coming to the end.

                      [imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/1958__20210328_142909.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/1958__20210328_142909.jpg[/imgz]

Overall, it is for example the rendering that I wanted to achieve and be able to place those realizations next to that of Jacques.
I let you judge the coherence of the whole.

                                  Thanks for the comments ;)

I saw something about the new project of Chris Tubb to create his own marque.

Could you tell us more ?

I can tell that there are many excellent figures among them. – The “name” of many figures (or sets) are intentionally put somehow unprecise as Chris Tubb did not want to have any trouble with “certain licenses” also Mithril had to agree to( and still has to, I think.). Many of the Phaeton Design figures are based on Tolkien’s work. Christopher Tolkien was very strict with licenses. So Chris simply avoided trouble.
I’m really glad to have all of those figures. I do really like the figures referring to Shakespeare’s “Tempest”. Wonderful. I intend to use a Miranda-figure for a Goldberry (contemplating at a river) in a small diorama. I think that would be better than the one released by Mithril.
Well, to be honest I’m really not convinced at all that the “PhaetonDesign”-project will ever be revived or even extended.
                                        Unfortunately.

Hi Fabrice… this is part of the e-mail Chris sent me two weeks ago

…. ” I will let you know as soon as the website is up and running.I have also started to revamp some of the original Phaeton series digitally so am pleased that you say there is still some interest in this”.

So I do not know which one oft he figures from his old web site he will produce again, but we will know it soon…

                                            Have a good day…
