October 21, 2011 at 2:53 pm #21062Quote:We need some more collectors like Maste Gildor, keeps the prices up….. smileI fear the times we all live at the moment, the crisis and the fact I have now an appartment and a family to manage does not leave me enough money to participate in “high end” collectible auctions… Besides , Chris does not appreciate this at all. He prefers to have genuinde die hard collectors having the key item in their collection rather than “business” being made by people who know the market value of this stuff…. but that’s another topic…
Mithril M16 is “universally” rare which explains its price from within and outside the Mithrill collectors community.
Prototypes, be they 32mm or 54mm are collectibles but have value mainly for amateurs, or expert collectors and those same people are not necessarily the person with big money, and won’t plan to make business with it (except maybe drizztdourden…)I assure you the Chr1988 has a big price but I doubt it could reach this same price nowadays… in order to maintain some “non applicable” price for prototypes, usually people tend to operate private sales between one another when it comes to prototypes… the MW being an exception because it is an army, and at least 20 or 30 casts exist of each figurine…. and these are TEST castings, not MASTER casts unlike 32Proto1 , 54Proto1, 2,3 for which I think less than 5 cast of each do exist…
I don’t think we’ll ever see any prototype except dwaw of waw on ebay alas….

October 21, 2011 at 4:37 pm #21067What is all this fuss about trees being slow about? Some here even seem to confirm this. Alas.
… hasty people around here, meseems … lacking patience … trying to haste everything …October 21, 2011 at 11:27 pm #21083if it’s any consolation, casters are slower than trees.

total: 11,20 €, including shipping! niceNovember 7, 2011 at 10:50 pm #21465mjach also offers one set of the “Saruman’s Army” as single figures. 3 spearmen and two archers which once was a set offered by Chris Tubb, when he sold them. Must be some spare ones, as I can only guess.
November 8, 2011 at 12:07 am #21469there is a bidder who tops everyone else regarding michael’s recent mw auctions … i’ll give them a shot, because [mith]mw346[/mith] and [mith]mw347[/mith] rarely if ever show up, and i don’t have any of the half orcs, but it’s likely mr. deep pockets will snatch them.
