this is the one that our friend milo has bid on.
I lost the rohan riders auctions at 187,43€ + shipping.
I could not bid more for these 5 vintage riders. Too badi think this is shilling (hiking up the price) — the user has zero feedback points … i could be wrong, but you don’t usually start your bidding career with mithril miniatures.
February 19, 2012 at 1:18 pm #23187Maybe, but how can I verify ? Shall I raise an alert to ebay ?
February 19, 2012 at 1:20 pm #23188I hadn’t realised that the Rohan riders had become quite so valuable. There’ always been a cachet about them, mind you, which is why my wargame Rohirrim aren’t Mithrils – though that has more to do with their rarity when I started to build my Rohan army some years ago, rather than their price.
February 19, 2012 at 1:25 pm #23190…Well if n**n was part of a devious device to force the price up it backfired, because he ended up having to buy them. Seems more likely that he was just keen to get them, and kept bidding up and up until he finally overtook your bid, Master Milo. After all, his final cluster of bids all occurred within about a minute and a half.
February 19, 2012 at 2:19 pm #23191But that’s the way it goes … placing a highest bid which automatically acts on somebody else’s bids … then you can sit back and await … of course you first have to decide about what amount of cony-things you’re willing to spend for some piece of metal …
Well, Master Barliman, those old mounted Rohirrim have been quite valuable for about a decade, as far as I know ….February 19, 2012 at 2:27 pm #23192Barliman wrote:…Well if n**n was part of a devious device to force the price up it backfired, because he ended up having to buy them. Well, Master Barliman, those old mounted Rohirrim have been quite valuable for about a decade, as far as I know ….I was misled by the fact thaty I bought some cheaply on eBay a couple of years ago! Must have been my lucky day. I actually gave those away to another Pony patron at the time who was likely yo make better use of them than I would. That or was being bonkers that day.
