Don’t know if any of these are of any interest to anybody – just thought I’d point them out, because they won’t be found by searching for Mithril or MERP –

Ouh……
I am on the only 4 I miss: slinger 1&2, spearmen 1&2
Ok Milo, I already have the slingers and will not bid on spearmen. Already enooght other to bid on.
MW346 dwarves went too high for me.
133AU$ for standard bearer, 233AU$ for Slinger 1&2, 233AU$ for spearmen 1&2 !
I counted around 2000 AU$ for the full set.Master Mornedhel, did you manage to win any of these ?

Still this is a good surprise considering the MX-UP is still available.April 5, 2012 at 8:11 pm #23766Milo wrote:Master Mornedhel, did you manage to win any of these ?Hi
Indeed I got 3 out of the 4 swordmen but at high cost (240 €). I will delay my phaeton order which will still be available in one month.
April 5, 2012 at 9:17 pm #23767quendil bought [mith]mx421[/mith], [mith]m80[/mith], [mith]m99[/mith] — lordlanto sold 11 copies of [mith]mx456[/mith] over the past years, btw.
April 6, 2012 at 6:35 am #23768Master Gildor,
Here is the Gondor Captain variant you miss:

April 6, 2012 at 8:49 am #23770It’s the same with me. No Gondor captain to be seen there.
April 6, 2012 at 9:43 am #23771Sorry, I made a mistake. link is corrected.

I just ask myself a question. How to remove the grey undercoat on the figure above and keep it as new as just out of the mould.
April 23, 2012 at 12:05 pm #23903….certainly there is some secret formula to give us answer on this question… Very strong thinner. Maybe it stands in the barrel thinner through very long period of time…..
April 23, 2012 at 1:13 pm #23904I use Nitromors (…or maybe it’s Nitro Mors). Very impressive stuff for stripping paint from figures, but not too good for human skin! I have no idea what it’s called elsewhere in the world.
April 23, 2012 at 2:53 pm #23905well as I said in former posts I use V33 paint industrial paint remover which is a gel… you put the figurine (attached by a wire) inside the bottle for an hour or so, then you remove it by pulling it out with the wire… and you simply peel off the paint, be it paint or undercoat is the same. the paint will have been transformed into a skin that you can simply peel away easily
this is done to remove paint from wall and is very powerful
April 24, 2012 at 4:37 am #23906Be sure to wear rubber gloves for all of the above!
April 24, 2012 at 6:38 am #23907Very good advice, Master Ranger.
April 24, 2012 at 9:03 am #23909well that’s why I use wire to put the figurine in the gel
my hands are never in contact with the gel itself though it is said corrosive it is far less dangerous than many other industrial products around, still, i take great care to use absorbing paper to remove the excess gel and then peeling the peinture with tools, and end cleaning the figurine with a wet paper before drying it out
the result is always amazing
