Hope you don’t mind, but simply in the interests of helping people understand the strange foibles of the bizarrely incomprehensible version of Westron as spoken west of the sea, “Loosed” means “let loose”, “let free” (if you “loosed” an arrow it would mean you’d fired it from a bow); the word for missing out on an auction is “Lost” (past tense of “Lose”, with one “o” – yes, I know, confusing, isn’t it?). But either way, your English is at least ten times better than my French. (I wasn’t allowed to take French exams when I was at school because, ahem, I was so bad they didn’t want to waste the money it would cost…)
