Master Tubb has something nice on ebay. Another unreleased figure.
Item number: 140356968334November 3, 2009 at 2:46 pm #7653Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!! THE unique figure in general. Please DO NOT BID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 3, 2009 at 3:17 pm #7656Christoph – I don’t understand why people shouldn’t bid. Is this because you have a bid in?
I’m still new to Mithril so my question is innocent. I just don’t understand.
Take care,
GeorgeNovember 3, 2009 at 3:51 pm #7659I would imagine a lot of people will bid on it!
November 3, 2009 at 5:01 pm #7662Yes, that Dwaw of Waw version can really be called very rare. And it’s a very nice figure, too. I’m glad that I don’t have to bid for that figure …
November 3, 2009 at 5:04 pm #7663You can have an impression of the miniature with its arm assembled in Gildor’s gallery.
November 3, 2009 at 5:28 pm #7664Friends, let the battle commence … 😆
November 3, 2009 at 6:55 pm #7665ahh now I will be able to put a price on this figurine in my database…
this is one of the rarest prototypes of Mithril indeed… after the [mith]MS423A[/mith]Don’t worry Christoph, I won’t bid on it… I have it already (courtesy of the Man) but I am sure the price may end up being quite high… I don’t know how many people around here besides Theobald and myself have one…
November 3, 2009 at 8:00 pm #7667Let the fastest man win !!!!
November 3, 2009 at 8:15 pm #7668(I hope this sale won’t generate bad feelings between the one who will win and those who will lose… we are supposed to remain a strong and very friendly fellowship of collectors )
November 3, 2009 at 8:29 pm #7669George: this was ironic.
Of course I cannot influence peoples passion for bidding . . .
I suppose: the person with the most coiny things will win. And this is surely NOT rita.de ! ! !
I think it is better to be realistic. This figure will pass the wall of Euro 200! Remember my words when the auction is over!!!
And remember: You have to keep the MX-vignette in mind . . .PS: and after reading this, all people agree to me- being realistic. And nobody will bid, and then in a dark minute before ending rita.de is about to . . .
November 3, 2009 at 9:51 pm #7670😆 Christoph – I figured you were in jest!
After winning that last ebay auction (and soon to buy the MX Imrahil figure), I can only afford to bid about 5 Euros! What are my chances of winning?
November 3, 2009 at 10:31 pm #7671item: 170401542603 Gondor warband – not sure if it’s been mentioned before, but no box it would seem. As I got mine from Time Machine I don’t know if this is what the original set came with.
November 3, 2009 at 11:15 pm #7672there is much more figurines in this sale than there were in the original box.. (i have the original one from Mithril)
the detailed list of the “original” box can be found here : [mith]MW337[/mith]
the saler offers copies of the “command group” there is supposed to be only one trumpeter, one standard bearer and one mounted captain… and there are too many spearmen… (but not assured there are all the kinds of spearman,, it’s hard to see on the pic)
November 3, 2009 at 11:39 pm #7673I can tell you something, Mr. Daines. I also got at first Warband-Orks from Jim Corless/Time Machine. Later on it was possible to reach an original mithril Warband box.
At first view there is no difference. If you paint them, there IS no difference. But under a carefully view you can recognize, that the mithril casting seems to be a bit more professional. I paint the Time Machine orcs and keep the mithril warband as a collector (what I am NOT . . .this is an exception! )
That´s what I can tell you. I hope I could help you, David.PS: Oh I forgot: the base is signed with mithril and the number. Jim´s orks´bases are blank.
November 4, 2009 at 11:02 am #7675Master Estel, I think we watch the same ~ 80+ minis. Very nice pieces amongst them. Maybe we should work something out together. Better chances I guess, instead of bidding against each other.
Regarding this Dwar of waw!!??
You are not wrong with what you said Master Estel, but I will not bid on it, because I wouldn’t pay €200.00 + for a single figure and I’m sure the bids go over this ammount. I rather put this money into other Mithrils I actually can “work ” with.Happy bidding rita.de. I hope you win it! I keep my fingers crossed!
November 4, 2009 at 11:59 am #7677mmmmmhh, open for everything, guys !!!!!!
November 4, 2009 at 1:37 pm #7678Master Estel and Holger, which auction are you bidding on? Just want to see what is in the collection.
November 8, 2009 at 5:32 pm #7743The Nazgûl went for about 150 GBP, if I remember well.
I don’t want to comment on the price. But so there’s a third figure of that Dwaw of Waw(r) I know of. Very rare tat is. Master Gildor compared this rarity with the Galadriel Ms423A and I think he was right. And as not only for the rarity … I think the figure is a gem – much better than the LT-version with the dagger.November 8, 2009 at 5:40 pm #7744As for the warbands you should mind that Timemachine had the licence to cast them. For many of us collectors Jim provided those figures at a very low price – as far as I know.
