The description for this ebay figure mentions it has been broken at the ankle, but it is drilled and pinned again. It also confirms that the sword is a foundry one, not the original. Masters Theobald and Barliman have sharp eyes.

September 30, 2014 at 2:27 pm #31236Just think how many pints of scrumpy that would have bought!
Seems a lot for even a rare figure when it’s broken and incomplete.
September 30, 2014 at 3:36 pm #31237300 ??? Alas, that’s quite a lot for a Lady in such condition.
Pints, Master Barliman? … rather barrels that is.September 30, 2014 at 7:00 pm #31238Hoummmm It seems that M16 prices lately rises again…. strange are the values of this Mithril world
October 4, 2014 at 3:14 pm #31247…. hey ho… let’s go… starting price is 350 GBP !
October 4, 2014 at 3:23 pm #31248The word “greed” springs to mind.
October 4, 2014 at 7:28 pm #31249the swords looks genuine, isn’t it?
October 5, 2014 at 2:03 pm #31250Seller name is familiar – thought he had sold one of these before (I could be totally wrong on this
).October 9, 2014 at 1:58 pm #31261I think the sword clearly is original, though being cut from the base. Obviously the figure was painted before, mabe in parts (have a look at the rests of green paint – enlarge the picture) and then been stripped off the paint. That’s why there is no more grey primer left.
Well, that’s all I can see.October 9, 2014 at 5:28 pm #31262Of course, prices for that Lady are a bit special, so to say. – But compared to the last one being sold lately this one is complete and maybe didn’t have to be stabilized at the ankle. So 50 GBP more for this one seems to be reasonable. – Though I had rather preferred if the seller would have stated that the figure once was (partly) painted and paints had been removed.
But anyway, it’s not more than a mere collector’s item, isn’t it?October 15, 2014 at 11:27 pm #31317I had a second look today at the seller’s offer and his statement which reads ” miniatures are either painted, stripped or never painted as seen “. If you choose the magnifying-glass-option the seller provides on Ebay you can clearly discover traces of geenish paint in some places. So, he’s right saying: “as seen”. Anyway, figure and sword are original and that combination is rare. At the moment the latest offer has reached 300 GBP. I still wonder up to what that turns out in the end.
October 16, 2014 at 8:17 am #31318You could sponsor planting about thirty trees or protecting several acres of rain forest for the same money.
I noticed yesterday that one of the rare (just 100 produced) small plastic Doctor Who figures I collect (yes, I’m a geek) was auctioned for £870, so clearly the world is full of people with more money than sense.
October 16, 2014 at 9:13 am #31319Doctor Who ? My son is a big fan. We went to visit london once and I had to buy him several “lego kind” toys there as none is sold here in France.
October 16, 2014 at 9:15 am #31320Your son is obviously an individual of great taste and intellect. Give him my regards.
