Ahem . . . there are a lot of additional items, not only our beloved manufacture . . .
Have a look here, maybe there is something for you that can wake your interest . . .February 3, 2015 at 6:56 am #32167I see some very nice miniatures. Good luck for your auctions Master archer.
February 16, 2015 at 1:04 pm #32201Hello all, just to inform you, that I have stumbled upon two major sales on ebay. A user (Thorondor) from the Mithril forum who posted the info there by himself is willing to sell his collection reference by reference.
I am very interested nowadays in completing my collection, so I have contacted him to see if I can manage to skip ebay auction system, at least for some of the references.
Meanwhile he has started auctions for refs. M300 to M411, and he is going to start counting backwards through all the references on the following days.
http://www.ebay.de/usr/cardeagleAlso there is a guy (from Spain I think) who is selling a whole lot of blistered references for 999 euro. He posted the info also on Mithril forum a few days ago, but I cannot remember his name, actually.
February 16, 2015 at 1:09 pm #32202It’s always a shame when someone sells their collection.
February 16, 2015 at 1:18 pm #32203It also mean less and less potential buyers …
February 16, 2015 at 1:21 pm #32204It is indeed.

February 20, 2015 at 3:01 pm #32232I just had a look. As the seller says the Lady is in used condition, as one can see. But the sword definitely is not original !!!
February 20, 2015 at 3:01 pm #32233The link does not work for me.

February 20, 2015 at 3:25 pm #32234????? strange that is, Milo, and I don’t understand a word. The link works well at my place.
Then I think I remember that the uncertainties about the original sword of the Lady has been discussed here in the past a few times. I just had a look at the database and found that the picture there is a bit tiny. Maybe it could be of some help for some people around here to provide a larger pic. I took the pics from an original M16 I once bought from Chris Tubb directly. So there’s no doubt concerning it being in original condition. Just have a look:

February 20, 2015 at 3:29 pm #32235Sorry, I don’t know what’s wrong with this uploading-tool. So just click on the link above (reading click to close) and there’s the picture.

February 20, 2015 at 3:31 pm #32236Sorry, I think I’m getting old and too much confused by “modern” technology …
February 20, 2015 at 3:55 pm #32237It is strange that the sword is not original, but it looks like it is molded to the base. Is it glued?
If it is cast to the base then the figure is suspect.February 20, 2015 at 4:38 pm #32239Well Milo, it says that you have been blocked in order not to show you restricted objects. It also says that due to the limitation of technology you might be blocked even if you shouldn’t be.
The seller says it will send it to all EU
February 20, 2015 at 5:03 pm #32240Sorry, Master Shadyt, but you’re wrong. – The two pictures I provided show the original casting with the sword attached to the base.
The picture the seller provides shows a different sword, not being attached to the base but instead being placed in some “putty-stuff” apart from the figure. If you then have a closer look at the sword itself and its shape you can clearly see that it is not original and very much used, too. – That’s why I stated the sword of the seller is definitely not the original one. In case you still doubt, just have a look at those two tiny pics in the Mithril-Database both of which exactly show the shape and design of the original M16-sword.
February 20, 2015 at 5:29 pm #32241same for me, I got same message as you master Milo
it seems like there is an IP lock for this part of ebay.es ?
February 20, 2015 at 7:23 pm #32242I agree with Ori’s translation, it is strange that message, milo… do not know why it blocks you and Gildor also
On the sword issue, I also think that it is not the one of the miniature. I have uploaded the picture for you all to see:
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/27_35.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/27_35.jpg[/imgz]I bought two miniatures last week from this user, and I am going to take the package from the post office tomorrow. I think it is the same person behind the last gallery update on the mithril site, mainly because of the style correspondence between the pictures and the similarity of the nicks and names.
See: http://www.mithril.ie/PBPhotos.asp?CatID=2524404February 20, 2015 at 7:23 pm #32243As I just had some time I went a bit deeper into that seller’s offers, despite of my bad Spanish. I found that he also offers an MX436 Burzash at an opening price of 150 €. After having had a closer look at the pic he provided I am sure that this one is original, though I still wonder why it is not primed. I am about sure that all Bursashs were primed, including the separately casted shields, which also is true for those 30 extra-castings with a different shield. Maybe the figure was simply stripped off the primer and because of that I’d qualify it as “used”, if I were asked.
He also offers a strange set of a tavern-scene from a company I don’t know of. Similar figures to the Mithril ones, but worse in sculpting. But there you can see, having a closer look, the same “putty-stuff” for stabilizing the table and other parts as he used to present the sword of the M16.Alas, believe me I don’t want to blame the seller or even meant any harm. I simply try to be accurate.
February 20, 2015 at 7:39 pm #32245Hey, Master Maenas, you’re perfectly right concerning the user/seller. He also offers an M18 (the one with the falcon) in a small diorama which perfectly meets the small dioramas he provided in the gallery you referred to in your entry.
As for the sword of the M16 you said that by now you “think” that it’s not the original one. I still say I am SURE that it isn’t.
February 20, 2015 at 7:50 pm #32246Yup Master Ent, I did not wanted to sound unpolite or rude, that’s the reason I wrote “think”, but I share your opinion also.
