As always, you’ll be welcome when you do, Master Elf.

I’d say the lot is worth 30 or 40€… and completly worthless for a collector.
Oh and by the way, hi again everybody… I was quite away of late, quite busy for real life and job matters… and not really finished yet alas
I’ll join you for a pint in the poney though
Yes indeed Master Elf, a big dose of sarcasm was intended . I would never ‘knock’ someone else’s work as it is the enjoyment of the painting not the quality, but THAT price!!!!
October 28, 2015 at 10:55 pm #33257Oh I have nothing against the painting itself, and I suppose there is some quality in it (not able to see every detail), still, the point was to say that “such painting”… with this price as you say….
November 6, 2015 at 11:33 am #33323German seller proposes a Gondor warband with Captain variant (very very rare this one): 301782547809
November 6, 2015 at 12:07 pm #33325I’m sure they’re worth it, but the starting price is a bit on the high side. Or is it?
November 6, 2015 at 12:20 pm #33326It is high. Average price on ebay for Gondor Warband is 89,6€ in my records.
But there is the captain variant which is at least 20-30€ more valuable than current one.November 6, 2015 at 5:05 pm #33332I agree with Master Milo. This is the first time I see the captain variant in an army set on Ebay. – It once took me years to find that variant figure.
November 6, 2015 at 5:22 pm #33334On my side, It was last rarity that I found so it took me 4-5 years to have one. And many mails to owner.

the last gondor army I bought, the captain was exactly the same

November 6, 2015 at 10:45 pm #33339Indeed, Mornedhel, it’s just that stretched foreleg of the officer’s horse. That’s all there is about it and I also think that it’s not something special.
November 7, 2015 at 8:24 am #33340Thank you Master tree
November 24, 2015 at 11:40 am #33482Nice [mith]M7[/mith], [mith]M73[/mith] and other vintage mithrils:

[mith]MX436[/mith] variant:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mithril-Mx-436-Burzash-variant-extemely-rare-/181948682576?hash=item2a5cfc9150:g:VwUAAOSw7FRWXkvyDecember 2, 2015 at 5:12 pm #33570I remember back in time when Jason (groovecrown) who is the guy who ordered MX436 made sold me one copy of it… Even back at that time it was quite expensive and it was in 2008, but now I suppose it could reach quite an amount !
for information, back in 2008, this MX variant went for US$178 on ebay…
Well mine is still in blister and I don’t intend to open it for the time being
(as far as I remember, it is the first MX to have a variant)December 2, 2015 at 8:06 pm #33576It will be interesting to see how far prices will rise …
December 2, 2015 at 9:23 pm #33584Gildor is right about all those details. I can confirm that. I once bought a variant from Jason, too, and he explained why he decided to have a variant shield being sculpted. Anyway as Jason himself is selling this figure one can be sure that it’s in excellent condition.
December 3, 2015 at 6:35 am #33590I also bought the variant to Jason 4 years ago. Very kind fellow.
December 6, 2015 at 5:17 pm #33610I just witnessed that there’s an MA1 with antique finish out (that old promotion figure, you remember?) at the moment. Interesting price, isn’t it?
December 6, 2015 at 5:18 pm #33611Sorry, item number is 272068238084
December 6, 2015 at 5:53 pm #33613I can’t believe he’ll get that sum for it! But then, I know nothing about Mithril’s 54mm figures. Is this one as rare as he thinks it is? And is it worth that price?
