This is very strange. Seller does not propose reb box, leaflet. I know also MA1 is available for 20€ on mithril web site and they send either primed, either antique finih…To me the only way to be sure it is an old one is to check its base. There might be a difference between old and more recent ones, as per XMas93…
December 6, 2015 at 8:30 pm #33615Well, Master Milo, you’re absolutely right to say that it will be difficult to tell if the figure on Ebay is one of the few once being casted as promotional figures for retailers. It’s difficult to judge just because, as you mentioned, the Mithril-company once chose to sell the old MA1 in antique finish again. So without any prove by box or subreferences it always will be difficult to tell, right? – The seller referred to the “promo-Galadriel” being delivered in a red box including a leaflet. Alright, so that one ?

Master Milo, we had this discussion here not only once, had we? So without the box and the leaflet one cannot be sure about the origin of the “antique Galadriel” being offered. That’s one of the problems (1 * – mind, please). Of course a close look at the subreferences below the base “might” reveil some more about the origin of the figure.
There is an old thread in the Mathom House of Michael Delving that reads “Galadriels” here that I once placed for fun. Long time ago.
Explanation to (1 * – mind,please) is:
A newly bought MA1 in antique-finish might be nice and even look the same as the old and rare promotion-figure. The quality of the casting and finish might be about the same. So you can enjoy its beauty (if you see any).
Alas, I better stop here, just to avoid ideas about, err … value of collectibles or whatever
December 11, 2015 at 12:15 pm #33645This is a lovely set of mithril dwarves, nice painting, great composition, ready for gamers!

December 24, 2015 at 5:25 pm #33772…Gone already.
January 10, 2016 at 8:20 am #33850A M16 for sale on a french website “Le Bon coin”, for 400€ here :
http://www.leboncoin.fr/collection/904036178.htm?ca=20_sJanuary 10, 2016 at 8:42 am #33851That’s a rather hefty price!
January 10, 2016 at 9:52 am #33852is it possible to pay for it with “just” a pile of small of 1 euro cent’s coins… no picture included….
January 10, 2016 at 12:35 pm #33853Right, Master Thingol, an offer without a picture or even detailed description is a bit strange, isn’t it.
Well, Master Barliman, I wouldn’t call the price hefty in case the figure is in exceptional good condition with the sword still attached to the base.

January 14, 2016 at 8:34 am #33910It’s a shame that Canadian (like US) P&P is so expensive to my neck of the woods.
Just noticed that you’ve included an MS439 King of the Dead in the “Army of the Dead” lot – which makes this lot a real bargain!
January 16, 2016 at 1:26 pm #33927Well, I can send them cheaper, but that means either slower or without a tracking number. I got burned pretty badly in the summer sending figures to the UK – whichever private company subcontracted the delivery did one of those sketchy “recipient not in” things, didn’t mention this to the recipient and sent the whole lot back to me via slow post. So I had to pay to get them back, forfeit the auction and pay to resend.
On the other hand, the postage is in Canadian dollars, which, as we are all painfully aware, isn’t worth a whole lot right now
January 17, 2016 at 11:59 am #33938I really hope the Army of The Dead group didn’t sell for just a dollar!!!

April 11, 2016 at 7:36 pm #34369Very cheap. Oddly I have one of these, though I have no recollection of ever getting it. Ah, the old brain is clearly withering….

April 11, 2016 at 10:10 pm #34382Indeed cheap is the word to use for that. But mind, it’s only the shape of the shield that makes it different from the regular MX-release.
April 12, 2016 at 7:14 am #34384And it isn’t even a nice shield – rather odd, in fact.
April 12, 2016 at 10:46 am #34392Collectionism is a silly thing sometimes. xD
