Well, as far as I am concerned I am one of the lucky persons you own this amazing Galadriel as well. Also as a gift from The Man!
I will certainly NOT sell this figure, why should I?! I feel deeply honoured to receive a wonderful figure from that person who sculpted it.
From that person you sculpted all these wonderful miniatures which are the reason why we are all here in this place . . . Because we COLLECT them.
I will never understand people selling away former gifts. But people are different . . .November 24, 2009 at 1:57 pm #7980Check out ebay France
dritz put a M07/ 16 / 73 / 78 MX 421 / 436 / 463 and ~ 80 others on ebayNovember 24, 2009 at 3:44 pm #7982Yes, it’s quite a lot he’s offering and not only a few of those really are rarities. Again he split up those four Dwarves of the “lost MW” and is trying to sell them as single figures. I still do not know what to think of that. Or do I?
November 24, 2009 at 6:41 pm #7983you do, as much as I master Theobald… but it would not be politically correct to voice out what we think about it…
November 25, 2009 at 12:10 pm #7988money money money :lol:lalala:lol:
November 25, 2009 at 12:11 pm #7989Hi all,
I suppose everybody here owns the two warbands which were released, but just in case:
Both in Evil Bay U.S.A.
November 25, 2009 at 1:37 pm #7993Just don´t by them . . . Dritz minis, I mean . . . there are other ways . . .
November 25, 2009 at 1:50 pm #7994. . just come back from ebay France. Many figures to sell! Nearly half the range, isn´t it . . .
Unfortunately Dritzzzz ( sound like a comic sleep . . .) misses to photograph the Lost-Range Halforcs on his typical blue background . . .
Odd . . .
Well, for me this seller simply doesn´t exist . . .November 25, 2009 at 2:39 pm #7995mmhh those MW warbands are not sold by Dirzzt master Christoph… but by some guy named mcdriver09 I don’t think they are the same…
As for Dominique “drizzt”… well this guy is a real pain but also a blessing for collectors… that’s contradictory maybe but he’s the kind of guy who can help you finish your collection, providing you have the money…
His geographical situation allows him to have acces to lots of “second hand” mithrils, he travels a lot in France to many RPG shops and he buys all mithril rarities he finds everywhere… to sell them back… I wonder if he has not made it a full time job actually…
(by the way, Drizztdourden comes from the famous R.A Salvatore dark elf hero : Drizzt Do’urden…
November 25, 2009 at 4:00 pm #7998I have to admit, that years ago I also bought some miniatures from Dominique to complete my collection. I was very glad in those days to find at least a chance to do so. That was many years ago and prices were lower then. And one could be sure that those were no re-castings. – All in all I dislike his strategy of selling (buying several pieces of rare releases for selling them later on at a higher price) as it might raise the price for certain Mithril miniatures. But it’s not me finally to judge upon that. As Master Gildor already pointed out, there are two sides of that medal.
November 26, 2009 at 9:21 am #8010Thanks for telling about the M423a! I think is the best Galadriel miniature to date and I’m happy to have had the possibility to buy it.

November 26, 2009 at 10:06 am #8014Good idea, master Erchamion. I’ll post the whole list in another thread.
Thanks!
November 26, 2009 at 12:30 pm #8016Exact, Master Erchamion. That´s what I meant. Our community and other ebay sellers . . .
November 26, 2009 at 4:08 pm #8020I would like to comment again on those present offers on Ebay by Master Drizz. I just chose another access to Ebay to see the prices in €s. What I see is that to me all of those “below 100” offers he made are not too expensive if you keep in mind that many of them really are rarities, such as M93 (Zalg), the camel-rider, Karagat, Razarac, M7, M16 and others. Then I think that all those figures are complete, some even having the parts still linked with the base (e.g. M10+dagger, M11+sceptre, etc.). So, I think the figures are in good or even very good condition.
Of course I am aware that the prices are fixed for auctions. But regarding the prices as if being as a “buy-it-now” price, I’d say many of the prices are acceptable.
Sorry that’s just what I think. As it took me many years to complete my collection some years ago I would have been lucky to find a source of rare figures like that. I haven’t seen something like that before.
With this I will not comment about Master Drizz’s sale-strategy at all (by the way he’s a collector himself), as some of you might know that I always had a completely different strategyNovember 26, 2009 at 4:21 pm #8021as a matter of fact… my own database may be used for master Drizz to “think” is prices on ebay too.. he is a collector of the businessman kind but he is very detailed and flawless when it comes to collecting and selling pieces… he will sell at high prices but he will sell quality…
on a side note, I remind you all that this forum is equiped with a way to post your “wanna trade” “wanna find” lists on your profiles sections… there is even a guide to explain how this works… and almost nobody uses this “feature” …. that’s too bad…
November 26, 2009 at 4:42 pm #8026As for me I didn’t ‘wanna trade’ or ‘wanna find’ here, Master Gildor. I just left some comments about a seller here.

Chris is unhappy that one of the Galadriel m423a which he gave as a gift was sold on ebay for “a very high price,” so he is selling the rest of his pieces in two batches on ebay in his usual buy it now format as what he feels is a reasonable price for us collectors who don’t already have her. The number above is the ebay auction number.
He has also communicated with me his displeasure with those who are recasting (he calls it “pirating”) Mithrils, and I will be creating a post soon with a message from him on that subject.
December 3, 2009 at 10:38 pm #8201i wonder if he sees conversion as pirating… as conversions are by themselves different than the original and are never considered to be the original or sold as such… At least among this respectful community of collectors I hope!
Now about recasting Mithril prototypes that have never been released, is there a copyright for them? I wonder …
Indeed, those who recast figurines like M16 and sell them on ebay saying it is the “famous” M16 are pure criminals indeed!!
December 3, 2009 at 11:00 pm #8202So far as I’m aware The Man has known for quite a while about some of his figures being recast, so I wonder what has suddenly prompted him to comment on the practice?
