Shady!
Check out the latest entry in the Court of Ardor
I just transcribed the MERP details as written. I am still a bit too out of it for any serious thinking
June 14, 2010 at 3:37 pm #10368Thank you Gavin! Very interesting and informative reading.
June 15, 2010 at 12:06 pm #10369I’m bidding on the M46 (orc archer) Chris put up for sale. I keep the fingers crossed for all of us that we get the minis we are bidding on.
June 15, 2010 at 1:33 pm #10370… I will left bid on orc with spear MW347 and it will be 15 seconds before the end of auctions…
so we would see….June 15, 2010 at 1:42 pm #10371I hope you have a few spare €’s to put on. This is a Mithril Mw347 Half-orc VARIANT. I bet you will have quite a few people being interested in this one.
June 15, 2010 at 1:47 pm #10372I will not bid if I see that is cost to much…our state is in crisis and announced a salary cut…
June 15, 2010 at 1:48 pm #10373Does that mean it was not even among the previously released Mw347? Do any of you have this variant in your collection?
June 15, 2010 at 1:54 pm #10374This is the first time a variant was mentioned regarding the Mw347 as far as I know.
June 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm #10375I compared the one i got with the one Chris is selling and to me it looks the same. May be Chris meant “variant” in the sense 1 out of the four different types….???
June 15, 2010 at 2:56 pm #10376Yes, it definitely is the C6A of the Mw347, one of the four pikemen, but without the round shield … Master Hsf62 is absolutely right in interpreting the word ‘variant’ which The Man used … and I’m sure about that … rhuoomm … if you don’t believe, just have a look at Gildor’s Gallery – the section with the “uniques” in it … you’ll find that pikeman in there …
June 15, 2010 at 3:01 pm #10377sorry, I just saw that our dear Elf did not publish those pikemen in that gallery until now … though I provided pics some years ago … anyway, he’s busy with other matters, the Elf … so don’t mind, please …. but I can confirm what I said in my last entry …. rhuoomm
June 15, 2010 at 7:12 pm #10378well seems I overlooked some pics… mea culpa… I’ll try to update this asap!
June 15, 2010 at 7:37 pm #10379Up to date now (I think… can you confirm master Theobald?)
June 15, 2010 at 8:12 pm #10381… still unfulfilled dream… those MW347 guys…. nice to see new pictures on gallery….
June 15, 2010 at 8:20 pm #10382ah we all have unfulfilled dreams alas…
June 15, 2010 at 9:04 pm #10383It´s a normal MW347 – C6A. I´m sure.

June 15, 2010 at 10:07 pm #10384Maybe this picture can help finding the differences. I agree to Holger, there are none!
Nice occasion to get this marvellous miniature from The Man directly, instead of somebody else from evilbay . . . (no in this case NOT Mr. Drizzzzz)[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_c6a_mmp.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_c6a_mmp.jpg[/imgz]
June 15, 2010 at 10:28 pm #10385Sorry to join the discussion so late. I think the use of the term variant simply means that there are four versions of this pose, as in other warband sets. This is the most common one BTW. Here’s yet another pic:
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/21_pict1992.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/21_pict1992.jpg[/imgz]June 16, 2010 at 5:51 am #10386For the record, confirmation from the Man (personal communication):
“Its just one of the 4 pikemen that I sold as a set a couple of years ago.I
found a spare one in my workshop.”June 16, 2010 at 6:02 am #10388…. so for all of us who do not have this pikeman tha Man must find another 50 of them in his workshop
who knows… maybe in the Man’s house there are basement, attic, an old cupboard, dusty chest, forgotten children’s toy box, forgotten drawers in an old kitchen table, the old box on the top of the wardrobe, mattress, garage full of old boxes and bags, small box buried in the garden, etc… with some pikemen inside… 😆…this sentence could be defined as an optimism !?!?!!?
