Perhaps I should put my prices up too, if people have got so much money to spend? I thought we were supposed to be deep into a recession? I’m certainly not as flush as I was a few months ago, even when the tabs are paid up.
And as the Tree said earlier, Master Gildor, I’m sure we’re all very pleased and grateful that you were in a position to rescue MMP and refurbish the Pony!

It is not common to find a Mithril lover dedicated enough and with the right skills to pull off a site like this. I do not take it for granted, knowing the work involved. Merci beacoup, Gildor:)
September 18, 2008 at 10:48 am #3161If Marc is this seller “elfshine”, he doesn’t want to talk….
I haven’t had a response to my question, and I will not ask again.
I guess whoever it is wants to be left alone….September 18, 2008 at 3:57 pm #3162I also tried to contact “elfshine” and also to me there’s no answer yet.
Monsieur Drizz is once again offering quite a lot of figures as you all might have seen. Once again some of those ‘Saruman’s Army’.
September 18, 2008 at 4:23 pm #3163I wonder if they’ll sell this time? Probably not.
September 18, 2008 at 8:48 pm #3165Well Elfshine is also out of the communication business, too, it seems. Well it is ebay and not MMP after all, so that may be telling about his desire to distance himself from things (and people) Mithril related. A shame! And as for Monsieur Drizz I can only say that he is attempting to establish some sort of value for these perhaps;) I think he forgot that some things are only worth what people will pay and hopefully they won’t pay too much!!!
September 20, 2008 at 6:08 am #3169Putting aside Dritz’s absurd postal charge of £14 on most of his current listings, can someone explain to me why postage on the expensive MW figures is only about half as much? The words ‘profiteering’ and ‘rip-off’ spring to mind.
September 20, 2008 at 10:58 am #3170I see there is one bid on the big collection (not me honest).
September 20, 2008 at 3:16 pm #3177Nor me!
September 21, 2008 at 2:15 pm #3188Interestingly enough when I clicked on the sellers feed-back, although there appears no positive, negative, neutral points for some reason I notice that Zoetrop, Gavin have been buyers from this seller in the past as has Buhman and krosbone (I think these last two are Mithril members past/present).
So Gavin, what do you remember?
September 21, 2008 at 2:35 pm #3190What do you want me to do … I do have a more than complete collection of Mithrils … I just don’t want to let them go for such a low price … to wherever it might be … honestly, I tend to buy those as for providing them to you all … let me know, please. There’s 11 hours to go …
September 21, 2008 at 6:02 pm #3194indeed the price is ridiculously low but usually it grows high in the last hours and minutes so I would not worry too much…
I don’t need doubles for my collection so I’ll remain neutral in this case…
September 21, 2008 at 8:58 pm #3195Gildor is right, Master Tree. The odds are that the price will go up dramatically before the sale ends.
September 22, 2008 at 7:02 am #3197So, £1,903 at the end of the bidding. That’s less than the figures would have raised if sold individually, but still not a bad price. Elfshine should be reasonably happy (though I note he’s got to ship them for free – that’ll cost a bit!). I don’t recognise the buyer.
September 22, 2008 at 9:26 am #3198the buyer is french, he has pictures on line at mithril web site. In my opinion he makes a very good deal.
September 24, 2008 at 8:17 am #3224This is what I call bad luck …. Obviously someone else has discovered that rarity on Ebay and outbid me. So I will bid no further than those 42 Dollars. I contacted the seller before and it seemed that he didn’t realize what he is offering as he listed up the Lady in line with Christmas Figures.
Well, I thought there was a bargain. Maybe someone else might be interested in the MA1 Galadriel (anique finish !!!) version. It’s the first time I see her being offered.September 24, 2008 at 8:36 am #3225Dear Theobald, do you know for true that this version is really so rare? Does anyone have a large picture of the “regular” MA1? I am asking, because I also seem to own this antique finish version in a blue box. (For the record, I am not this bidder.)
September 24, 2008 at 1:12 pm #3229Master Protozeus you might be right with the Lady in the blue box. I do own her too.
I also know the buyer of Marc’s collection. I’m sure we will find figures he doesn’t need for his collection put on ebay. He was also the one who bought the last M16 without sword on ebay and if he doesn’t need two, we can expect a M16 without sword on ebay aswell.
Was there someone else who was in need of one of these swords?
September 24, 2008 at 1:48 pm #3230As you can witness on Ebay I asked the seller of the Lady about the box. And this is where I’m not that sure if it’s really identical with the one I own. My version was kept in red box. But obviously the figure offered on Ebay at the moment has got that ‘antique finish’ as well.
Protozeus, you can find a pic here in the “Mithril gallery Section”.September 24, 2008 at 6:32 pm #3232Master Theobald, thank you. But I am somehow not able to find a photo of the grey-coated (primed) one, which seems to be canonical version according to the description in the Gallery. I only see her in antique finish (which looks like mine) or painted. Are my eyes too weary (this is quite possible)?
