Hm … better to get back to the ‘Pony’, master Barliman, … there’s a job to do over there …
September 3, 2010 at 11:09 pm #11797You told:”may that Frumgar not be misused to gain profit” Master Tree. I can to affirm this. As YOU might know . . .
September 4, 2010 at 9:10 am #11806I do know, Master Rita.de
September 6, 2010 at 6:09 am #11849… and there are more figures from this seller….
September 8, 2010 at 12:28 pm #11890I just won a very good auction: 330468988105
Every 40 LR references , brand new for 131€. That make each 3.27€ each !
I shall update my collection DB as I did not have any of these.:lol::lol::lol::lol:September 8, 2010 at 1:00 pm #11893the LR are cool references though they have some little defaults…
the packaging, this plastic film over the parts makes it difficult sometimes to open the figurine… and there are a lot of small parts far more than regular ones, all of these parts are already nicely cut though,
As for myself, back in time, I managed to get my hands on a full set with the same limited edition number for all of them (edition 1051 from LR1 to LR40 )
this was an option you could ask your retailer at that time if you were willing to buy full sets (released in yellow boxes of ten by ten)i still keep the big yellow boxes which were carrying the little blue boxes
(I know I’m a maniac, I keep EVERY blister cards or boxes…. of mithril related stuff…) and, like Theobald, I also keep all the invoices from Mithril, so that it is easier to trace back the release date of a figurine, Alas I can’t trace back before the apparition of the Gold Fellowship…)
September 8, 2010 at 1:05 pm #11894I also used to keep every blister boxes.
Now I only keep blister cards as boxes appered to be totally useless for the pas 22 years…September 8, 2010 at 1:54 pm #11898well, actually boxes are somewhat a proof that your figurine is “genuine”…. indeed you could have made copies but owning the box usually means that you at least have a genuine occurence of a given figurine ….
Chris and I were last talking about providing certificates of authenticity for figurines that never reached over the status of prototypes (MW347 for example) to be sure that these are genuine ones… well it is too late for MW347 but for future release it could still be possible
September 8, 2010 at 10:17 pm #11900And let us hope, that there will be future releases . . . !!!!
Congrats Milo, many of those LR figures are really fine and well detailed, especially the Nazgul, but others as well!
September 10, 2010 at 2:10 pm #11917While not Mithril, some might be interested in this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-11-Fantasy-Armies-Cleric-Elf-Adventurer-Etc-/110582079081?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19bf349e69
September 10, 2010 at 2:20 pm #11918I guess MAster Gildor will bid in these.
September 10, 2010 at 4:51 pm #11923ahhh yes I think I indeed will
thanks for the info Wendy
I hope the final price won’t be high… and that I won’t forget to bidSeptember 10, 2010 at 5:05 pm #11924so you should do, Master Gildor, as I won’t bid on those as it’s not part of my collection … feel free not to forget to bid … good luck.
September 10, 2010 at 5:14 pm #11925well it’s not really a collection just that I like Chris work and as you may (or not ) know I am… beside mithril collectionning/website designing… a Dungeon Master in D&D parties I organise every two saturdays… these figurines could help me represent NPC or monsters or even my Players
(yes yes I know, it’s hard to do all of that… you also have to have my addiction to MMORPG on which I play every evening of the week from 8pm to approximatly half past midnight…)
September 10, 2010 at 6:01 pm #11926Hmmm … honestly, I didn’t know that.
September 11, 2010 at 10:38 pm #11932I just re-checked in details all the PA “Fantasy” figurines offered in the lot linked by wendy… there are indeed VERY interesting figurines inside this set, some rare to come by (wel pics of them are hard to come by…) and I really love the female cleric, enchantress and houri… it could help me in my campaigns i hope i’ll be able to bid, but the auction ends at 3am… quite hard
