December 19, 2010 at 1:15 pm #14096Yes. sounds a lot when you give the price for the set, but the individual price per figure isn’t too bad I suppose. But I wouldn’t want to have to pay it!

December 21, 2010 at 9:08 pm #14121Absolutely! A pity that Master elroi_es sells these miniatures.
What about ourselves? Do we come into a situation that we will sell our beloved painted minis someday ?
I hope this day will be in a far future . . .December 21, 2010 at 9:25 pm #14122… so do I, Master Turambar
December 22, 2010 at 6:48 am #14123Or never…. dear friends… never….
December 22, 2010 at 9:23 am #14124we are not eternal, still I invested a lot in this collection and I consider it a legacy to pass upon my son… We once discussed this matter with Chris himself …. anyway… I plan to “try” to pass this passion onto my son Raphael, I hope he’ll like mithril but he is still too young to understand, still he looks at the glasscase and is quite curious and knows how to catch a pencil…
A Raphaël pencil… (the firstname of my son was no coincidence…)
My appartment is insured taking into consideration the value of the collection which could be estimated for … quite an amount of money (I could easily buy a good car by selling my collection) but I don’t plan to sell it anytime in the future, I just know I won’t be able to paint everything in a lifetime so I hope “other hands” will be able to continue my work…
well… that was a bit… melancolic and out of topic isn’t it… let’s focus again
December 22, 2010 at 10:01 am #14127I thought you Elvish types were immortal?
December 22, 2010 at 8:37 pm #14133melancholic or not.. that is a question. I will try to convey some of my Mithril passion to my little daughter… just to keep it the long memory of the childish father… 😆
Also I did not know that can be made by an insurance policy on the collection of figurines … I will also do this… I’m going to investigate !

Well, I have no sons by now, and my nieces show no interest on miniatures… Well, when a I get older (I’m not in my early forties), I’ll start to worry about what to do with the minis. By now, I’ve a lot of painting job to do.
About the other point, the insurance policy it’s a nice idea… I’m going to talk with my insurance agent to see the options, I’ll keep you in touch. I don’t think that it cost to much here in Spain to increase my home insurance to include the minis.
