well I see that 18 of them were sold in the first minute!
17 others in the next 5 minutes
3 others in the next 20 minutes and only two last sets survived… for no more than 3 hours…well, I’m happy for Chris!
as you said 3000GBP for a zero investment (these were prototypes and were made years ago and were sleeping in an “attic”, and no need to pay an advertising campaign) well that’s quite a benefit!February 13, 2011 at 9:49 am #15355Milo wrote:Now it is written 3 available, 37 sold…So there were 40.That will provide 3000GBP to Chris. Good news ! ๐
This shows once again that Mithril (and lead miniatures in general) can be profitable if properly managed and given quality in work
February 13, 2011 at 10:23 am #15356You’re right, Master Erchamion. But you shouldn’t forget to mention that this once again was an offer, not an auction. And this is what amazes me most. The Man once again put it as a “buy it now”. This means that the price was fixed and there was no possibility that it could have exploded into higher spheres and to make it affordable for those who are interested in buying very good quality for a reasonable price. As far as I know this always has been the intention of The Man and once again it worked well, I think.
Reading between the lines, Master Erchamion, you’re right.
As for those comments about someone having instantly bought 3 sets, it wasn’t drizz, it was me, the tree. As you all might know I’m not keen on taking any kind of profit from things like this I can assure that my mind hasn’t changed. I simply was asked by some dear Mithril-friends to get a set for them because they were not able to bid or buy, I did. You know, once trees have taken decision to do, they will stick to their promises and start walking. Though last night I had to be hasty, you know.February 13, 2011 at 10:50 am #15360Very King Haster Ent yesterday.
Someone must be very grateful !February 13, 2011 at 11:03 am #15363Well, it just was about to return a favour. That’s all there is about this, and I feel fine with it.
February 13, 2011 at 11:18 am #15367He’s called the champion Ent! ๐
February 13, 2011 at 12:20 pm #15369Funny, I wanted to write “Very Kind Master Ent. “
It became “Very King Haster Ent” with my hasty fingers:P:lol::lol::lol:February 13, 2011 at 12:28 pm #15372Well, he must be the King of the Ebt’s then and yes I can assure toy he can make Haste also! ๐
February 13, 2011 at 12:37 pm #15374Errr … King Haster Wisest of Champions Ent? … no, that’s not me, the tree …. that’s neither a title of some quality nor the way to adress me correctly …. rhuoomm … as far as I can remember I once was called Theo, the bald … รคhh .. I don’t refer to the lack of hair I have to cope with …. so, again … bald also means … rhuoommm … I forgot … something like brave in some kind of way … hommm … though Kurt Tucholsky once used my nickname reveiling my family name … which is Tiger … so that makes either Theobald Tiger or Peter Panther … rhuoommm … so you haven’t heard of Kurt, or even read some of his writings? …. hmmm ….
that’s a pity, indeed … I try to visit Marifred sometimes … it’s Gripskolm for the Swedish of us … it’s a more quiet and nicer grave than that of Master Tolkien in Oxenford …. anyway, I don’t mind how you call me, as you can’t know …. rhuoommm … so call me whatever you like …. I will understand …. in the ENT <--- this pun definitely wasn't a misprint.February 13, 2011 at 1:10 pm #15379The ENT in one story, a new beginning in another!
February 13, 2011 at 2:38 pm #15382well that is very kind of you to have bought 3 indeed master Ent, but there was someone else who bought 3 ones…
I wrote to Chris this morning reminding him to be careful with his dealings with Dominique “drizzt” if he was among the buyers. well things may havechanged about this matter since Chris has been aware for quite some time now that drizzt=dominique=someone who makes profit in his back…. and he knew Dominique….. but did not know he was drizzt.. he was disapointed when he learned that…
February 13, 2011 at 3:32 pm #15383What could I say?
I could try to check who was the other one buying three. If it was Dominique, living in the far northern parts of your country, I’ll try to find out. – I do not wonder that Chris isn’t willing to spend time for things like that. I clearly understood his anger, once he asked me what I know about pirating of Mithrils. – Sorry, but I cannot reveil here all I know. It took me about nearly a year to sort things out.
Until now I wasn’t able to locate the source, though I might be able to do that. I am surprised to read that Chris wasn’t aware that what we named “drizz…” is Dominique. By now I’m very far from judging about these matters until I have further facts on my desk I could provide in public.February 13, 2011 at 7:26 pm #15385Several vintage here but the hobbits seem fake !
