Oh, and yes indeed, you’re right, Master Tree – putting the wretched things together is a laborious task, and drilling the alloy that GW use take a lot of effort. Still, the end product is rather good.

@ milo, that’s the special chess add-on figure, isn’t it? at least it looks like the one sold with that lotr magazine series by deagostino.

@ barliman, assembly would be a pain, i concur — i forgot to add that the 11 € includes shipping, the figure itself cost around 8 €, which might not sound cheap, but oddly enough, the prices on ebay are on the same level as the retail prices, so this was really a bargain. it wasn’t listed as “buhrdûr” and the seller even lowered the price (you can still see in the description that the original bin was 10 pounds), because nobody picked it up on the initial run:

It is yes. I bought first 32 figures to have the chess set completed. It was offered in the middle of the collection. I had to paint it again as it had been just splashed with Black and grey. One day I will have also to paint every chess pieces…

Though I doubt the expense will be that low, as it has already raised half 2009 estimates…but I am ready to step on each !

there were a few — but i can’t tell you before i return home, because i haven’t made a list of doubles, just a list with the catalog numbers that i already bought. i will do an updated list when i’m in germany again and let you know!
