A truly astonishing price, especially when you consider that there’s a recession going on! Someone must have really wanted these. Which of the figures do you think pushed the price up so high? – the raft elves?
May 31, 2009 at 3:19 am #5509There’s the raft elves AND the Mirkwood Elf swordsman AND an Angmar orc. So there are three pretty rare elements to it.
Not sure its worth 175 quid now, but there ya go…
May 31, 2009 at 5:14 am #5510Always remember to put the word “vintage” into your title …
June 13, 2009 at 10:47 am #5714Perhaps interesting for our diorama builder and conversion masters: 260427726419
Seems to offer lots of other Mithrils as well, Orcs, Gondor …
(Know nothing about the seller, though.)
June 13, 2009 at 10:56 am #5716Let’s find out how much he gets for his auctions, after splitting the warbands and mixing them with other Mithrils….
June 13, 2009 at 12:57 pm #5718Huoommm … I’ve been watching those auctions for some days … huomm … last week our Master Dritzd(?) put on a hell of a lot of below 100 in fine conditions … rhuoommm … but for quite some money he wanted …. huomm …
yes, Master Gavin, those raft-elves are sth special …. huoommm … I do like them very much.July 5, 2009 at 9:49 am #6005I just witnessed that mounted caravan guard M73 being offered on Ebay by a German seller. That figure seems to be complete and in the original blister.
Item-nr 140329404107
I’m just posting this because I’m not sure if all of you have access to those offers being placed on the German site of Ebay.
Now it’s about 80€ and some seven more hours to go.July 5, 2009 at 1:52 pm #6006Alright no- one around reading this. So I stepped in bidding for that d****d camel. More than 101€ that beast wants to be sold for by now. Three more hours to go.
July 5, 2009 at 3:17 pm #6007well that’s expensive for a M73… but it’s in blister I suppose that counts a lot
July 5, 2009 at 3:29 pm #6008Yes, I read your message Master Ent, but I have it already. Who is is the hasty one I wonder….
Yes, it is a lot of money for a little piece of metal.
But I have to say it is a beautifull piece of metal and I’m happy to have one.
July 5, 2009 at 3:50 pm #6009I don’t have one, and at that price I can’t afford one…!
July 5, 2009 at 4:25 pm #6010Surely there are some of our members who need that camel and rider. But at these prices most can not afford it, and some who can will not pay that much.
July 5, 2009 at 4:34 pm #6011Rhuoomm … just be patient … ahem, I really didn’t know that you haven’t got one of those dromedarian riders … huoommm … rare they are … hom I know … keep fingers crossed while filling a bowl of you-know-what … rhuommmhuoomm … thank you for giving response to me … or how do you say in Bree? … imagine a barkeep from Bree relying on a tree … rhuoomm … strange tongues these are … huoomm … sorry, forgot the rhuooooooommmmmm … sorry, being busy again hanging up pictures in that old Mathom House … I just feel more being a caretaker than an end … huoomm
July 5, 2009 at 4:48 pm #6012Of course we rely on you, Master Tree. I suspect the Pony’s roof would fall down without your branches to support it! – after all, it’s been a while since we had any maintenance work done (if you don’t count Nob banging a few nails into the wall to hang mugs on).
July 5, 2009 at 6:34 pm #6013Huoommm … of course, I could do all of that you asked me for … rhuuoommm … might take some time … huoommm … I’m not that hasty, you know, Master Barliman …. just had to provide you some camel-rider … just as for those metally coiny things you do dare to ask me for whenever I try to have me bowl being topped up … rhuommmm huomm … anyway … let’s forget … to cut it short … ahem … this guy is yours … rhuoommm sorry … I simply couldn’t help it ….. rhuoommm … wasN’t it top it up, please what I recently said … I do hope your memory you forgot in that lumber-room did not forget you … rhuoommm … so what’s done is done, isn’t it?
July 5, 2009 at 7:43 pm #6014What a truly amazing tree you are! Your bar tab is cancelled for ever and I’ll never make you move the wargskin rugs again. More seriously, if there’s any more worthwhile favour I can do you, let me know.
July 5, 2009 at 7:49 pm #6015No, on reflection, not an amazing tree – a truly astonishing tree. I may have to go and sit quietly in the corner for a bit.
July 5, 2009 at 11:02 pm #6017Rhuoommm … but that’s the corner where this Man in the Dark still is smoking … ahem .. thanks for those words, Master Barliman … by now I will try to find that clay-bowl you promised to serve me … rhuoommm … keep sitting, Master Barliman, I can find it on my own …. rhuoomm … and besides, Master Barliman, try to avoid all those adjectives … rhuoomhuom …
I’m just a tree … it’s so simple … huoommm … just stay outside and enjoy me … rhuoomm … that’s all I want …. rhuoommm ….
But (sic!) .. I was just contemplating about the singular form you used with mine bar tabs … huoommrhuomm … does that seriously mean you kept some of them hidden …. huoomm …
anyway … rhuoommm … as for them wargskins we might talk about later whenever it might please you … rhuoomm … I will have to spend another night trying to cope with those sounds you use … rhuoommm … it’s hard for a tree, you know? … rhuoommmJuly 6, 2009 at 7:26 am #6021So, Master Tree, you are a lucky owner of a Dromedarian Rider, aren´t you . . . ?!
I also have one, painted of course, but I haven´t made my freedom of it ( uuhhh- German English . . . )August 9, 2009 at 11:22 pm #6352Item number: 180395342782
