May 12, 2011 at 8:28 am #17363Cameosis, I wonder if you checked my trade list in crossroad of esgaroth or in the collector database (Crossroad is not up-to-date) ?
May 12, 2011 at 6:28 pm #17375milo, i haven’t yet. will do soon!
by the way, i’ve just had a bad experience with the following seller on ebay, called diewahreeins: http://myworld.ebay.de/diewahreeins/
i have bought the following miniatures from him:
[mith]m149[/mith]
[mith]m150[/mith]
[mith]m151[/mith]
[mith]m152[/mith]when i got the package, m149 and m151 b were missing—big deal, i thought, he probably just forgot to pack them. i mailed him and asked him to send them. his response was that he had packed everything and that somebody must have taken them out during transport/delivery:
»hallo,
ich weiss, dass ich alle 5 figuren in 4 tüten verpackt habe. somit muss eine auf dem postweg entnommen worden sein. was schlagen sie vor wie wir den sachverhalt lösen?«not a very intelligent lie, to be blunt:
a) the envelope showed no traces of having been opened;
b) it would require that someone was familiar with mithril miniatures in order selectively pick the figures from the package;
c) m151 consists of two miniatures—yet only one was missing—why?anyway, it’s only 2 euros, so it’s not worth fuming over this, but i’m pissed that someone insults my intelligence and that i have effectively received only part of what i have paid for.
it’s much more probable that someone offered him more money for the figures after the auction or that he was simply disappointed with the winning bid (plus i have an incomplete [mith]m151[/mith] now).
May 13, 2011 at 11:42 am #17376I think it’s good to inform us here about this, Cameosis. – I have never heard of that seller before.
May 13, 2011 at 11:52 am #17377Yes indeed, thanks and bad bid at the end, even if you don’t loose that much money, disapointment is always something we don’t expect when buying something.

May 15, 2011 at 9:40 am #17403Hahaha, sorry…
May 15, 2011 at 10:15 am #17406Well, I just checked all this and want to keep you informed.
First of all you have to know that the seller is the same person who once submitted the MX Burzash.
Second, you should keep in mind that there are two “versions” of that MX. They only can be distinguished by the design of the shield. The figure itself is the same in both “versions”.
The first offer is the original MX-release sold by Mithril.
The second offer is the variant version (that’s why I think the seller posted a second pic which clearly shows the different design of the shield). Of those there were about only 30 castings made, as after that it then became common with the MX releases, thanks to the company.
The seller (submissioner) was a bit dissatified with the original shield, because he thought a troll-chief has no need of a shield unless it could be used as a weapon and not for protection. So those two long blades were added to the shield to make it an additional weapon.
The variant-version is even much more rare than the regular MX-figure is, as you can imagine.
At least it’s one of the rarest figures in my collection.
Huoommm … I just thought to keep you informed about these details because I think not everybody here knows about them.May 15, 2011 at 12:16 pm #17409Thanks a lot Master ent for the shield history. It’s always interresting to know about such details.
Now I understand the “strange” look of this shield compared to all mithril range also.
May 15, 2011 at 1:13 pm #17411not at all, Master Milo
