many guys here would be able to update your wish list after this auction I already have it but I will keep my eye on those mounted Rohan riders….
May 16, 2011 at 1:07 am #17430i will see how this one will turn out after the bidding ends.
theobald, isn’t there a third variant of the shield? i think i have seen an image of it.
May 16, 2011 at 8:09 am #17434Well, about german ebayer, I’ll try to get m30 & m31 to advance in finishing my top100 colection (only 8 short in this moment)
May 16, 2011 at 9:26 am #17435Cameosis, I don’t know about a third shield variant, never heard of it. Could be just a rumour or a conversion.
May 16, 2011 at 12:35 pm #17437I have talked to the person several times in the past (and purchased the rare variant from him) he only mentioned the two shield variants as told by Theobald.
May 16, 2011 at 1:01 pm #17446okay, thanks—i had seen a picture of yet another shield, but don’t have it anymore after my hd crash and i can’t recollect where i had found it.
i’ll have another go at the orcs … and in case i win wait and see if *everything* arrives.
May 16, 2011 at 1:02 pm #17447never heard of a third variant EXCEPT if it is a conversion…. in this case it is not a genuine shield…
from what I remember from my conversations with groovecrown (the project owner of Burzash) only two variants were madeMay 17, 2011 at 12:19 pm #17468Milo wrote:Back on Ebay.

May 24, 2011 at 8:08 am #17545But have you seen the shipping charge?
May 24, 2011 at 8:12 am #17547You are damn right Barliman, Wow, a crazy seller !
May 24, 2011 at 1:50 pm #17548Barliman wrote:But have you seen the shipping charge?Maybe this figure is version which may have more than two kilograms of pure metal :rolleyes:
impossible to find…. and big one…
May 24, 2011 at 3:42 pm #17553Well, have a closer look. I think 5 bucks for shipping internationally isn’t really that much. I think there are two other aspects to consider. The seller has set a fixed price of about 11 or 12 dollars for a “starting bid”. That has nothing to do with p&p, I think.
But mind that the figure, at least in parts, seems to be painted and so should be qualified as “used”. – The mace is mentioned in the description of the item, though it cannot be seen in the two pics provided.May 24, 2011 at 4:08 pm #17555You’ve lost me, Master Tree. Where does $5 enter into it? He’s charging $29.50.
May 24, 2011 at 4:57 pm #17557well I agree with barliman, I only see $29 of charges by UPS mail for this figurine, no $5 anywhere
May 24, 2011 at 5:04 pm #17558Sorry, Master Barliman, I just checked seriously. Those 5 bucks were meant for inside the USA. To Germany he would charge 29,25 €. – Some heavy parcel indeed. That’s incredible.
I made the experience lately that sometimes it’s worth to contact the seller directly and tell him about the problem of exaggerated p&p prices from the USA. It was a different seller and it was about different items, but it worked somehow. – Alas, of course that means to take up some effort writing and waiting and … no, in the end I think it’s not worth it.
Meseems that guy has massively over-estimated his financial expectations for his offer of a used figure with a much too high “starting price”. Then he might be one of those who try to take advantage from very much over-priced p&p costs. – Mind what The Man always points out when he offers an item:
“I do not want to take any profit from p&p.” – The Man does not.May 24, 2011 at 6:37 pm #17561Milo wrote:I will have a go for [mith]M217[/mith], [mith]M221[/mith], [mith]M222[/mith] & [mith]M242[/mith] and MS onesI lost M217, M221, M222 auction with higher bids than estimates…
Someone wanted these more than I did.
This also sounds good for mithril sellers tomorrow and I am selling a full set of LO tomorrow.May 25, 2011 at 6:53 am #17571Some interesting bits here:
