i hate auctions that end at 03:35 am cet — that “58” guy was yanking up the prices these past two days and he snatched the [mith]m295[/mith] troll away! i shall eat him once i find out who it is.
May 28, 2011 at 12:41 pm #17673Too bad for the troll…
May 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm #17676i bet the troll is in good hands — but he could be in better ones!
i shouldn’t complain, i grabbed a few rare ral partha 11-series blisters and some mithril picks (but the latter will cost me — seems everybody is going crazy over the german auctions now).May 30, 2011 at 9:47 am #17710So, Geman, auctions have come to ends now.
I am quite happy to have won complete hobbits and 2 ghosts I was missing (except that “58” Ebayer who made price rise a lot).Did you win your wanted orcs Master cameosis?
I also grabbed a new [mith]MB358[/mith] for 17€ including shipping this week-end. Not to bad.
May 30, 2011 at 10:22 am #17715I won the pin. Now I feel like a real club member.

[mith]m41[/mith] [mith]m43[/mith] [mith]m44[/mith] [mith]m45[/mith] [mith]m46[/mith] [mith]m50[/mith]
from the 90s range, i only snatched [mith]m99[/mith] — the others were too expensive for my taste (and the ones i bought, too, to be honest). also [mith]m74[/mith] and [mith]m79[/mith], so now i still look for [mith]m76[/mith], [mith]m77[/mith], [mith]m78[/mith] and [mith]m80[/mith] in order to complete the harad range.
other than that: [mith]m85[/mith] [mith]m88[/mith] [mith]m111[/mith] [mith]m121[/mith] [mith]m166[/mith]
but a lot of it was acquired thanks to ebay fever … that won’t happen again any time soon … i should have bought a leica lens instead. oh well, next time.
May 30, 2011 at 1:45 pm #17718You will receive a very nice bunch of minis. Congrats !.

I’m a little bit jalous…
And glad my link was usefull for you and for us learning more about mithril history.May 30, 2011 at 6:43 pm #17720Thanks! Yes your link was useful, as always, indeed.
May 31, 2011 at 1:51 am #17726thanks for the link, but there are a lot of mold military figures, therefore 50 euros is too much — 10 would be alright.
i was outbid on a pa offer for 4 fantasy figures yesterday — £25.00!
i would need some assistance from uk fellows, if they’re so inclined — there’s a troll to be had comparatively cheap, but the auction is only open to uk bidders — i’d go as high as £5.00 (bidding) to try and get it. if someone could proxy bid on my behalf, that would be ace — i could send the money by paypal/bank transfer in advance (including possible fees).
May 31, 2011 at 7:27 am #17728I’ll see to it, Master Cameosis. Wish me luck! (we’ll worry about the money later.)
May 31, 2011 at 9:21 am #17729much obliged!

June 1, 2011 at 1:50 pm #17743thanks, dave!
June 3, 2011 at 5:22 pm #17766Sorry, Master Cameosis – as you will have seen, someone else wanted the troll even more than you did!
June 3, 2011 at 8:57 pm #17770barliman, no worries — thanks for bidding! gw minis are good (particularly the trolls), but i don’t want to spend a lot on them. it’s interesting to see that even on ebay eight times out of ten, they reach the rrp.
June 4, 2011 at 5:49 am #17771Actually, I didn’t even get to bid – I was about to do my last second sniping thing when the £5.51 price popped up and rendered my bid redundant!
As for GW prices on eBay, you’re right – I’m often amazed / amused that people bid more for a figure than it would cost them to buy it direct from GW via mail order! But as they say, “There’s nowt as queer as folk.”
June 5, 2011 at 7:24 am #17804:rolleyes: this is really unexpected…… jet

June 5, 2011 at 11:30 am #17811… and it’s not very expensive.
