As I just saw there are a lot of below-M100 figures offered by The Man on Ebay at the moment. Some are extremely rare. I hope someone does keep record about those auctions.
Anyway, as you know I won’t bid. For those of you who do I wish good luck.June 29, 2011 at 5:17 pm #18285I’d like to point out that these are among the very last “rare mithril” stocks the Man will sell… so it’s your chance now…
the Man has some future plans but he is selling all that he has left of mithril… from what I understood, it even includes his own private collection…
June 29, 2011 at 5:56 pm #18286I can confirm that, Gildor, I won the m7 and Chris said me that it was his last one.
June 29, 2011 at 5:58 pm #18287I’m trying m16, but I think that this is coming too high for me.
June 29, 2011 at 5:59 pm #18289It’s sad that he’s selling his own collection, though. End of an era?
June 29, 2011 at 6:55 pm #18290More than sad that is if it is so. – Well, Gildor, if he really is about also selling his private collection we might even see the MX-Imrahil variant being sold for the first time. I would feel evry sad about that. – But if so, I cannot help it.
June 29, 2011 at 7:30 pm #18294i don’t know if he will be selling his WHOLE collection but at the moment he owns no more than 30% of the m range anymore and he prefers them in the hands of collectors as he has different feelings about them indeed , he can’t “consider” them the same way we do…
but he plans for new things after he has no more “mithril”(tm) for sale
he will have “other things”
June 29, 2011 at 7:32 pm #18295…And along with everyone else I look forward to knowing with certainty what these might be!
June 29, 2011 at 7:34 pm #18296Well, that no so sad news if he don’t have the same feelings for his creations than us… But well, that decision of let the minis on collectors better than in his own hands, make me give a bit more (it that’s is possible) of admiration to CT. I don’t have many mails with him, as you, Gildor, or many others. But the few I have, make me feel he is a very nice guy , beyond his magnificent ability as sculptor.
June 29, 2011 at 7:41 pm #18297he is I assure you… His own words were : “I don’t need to have them myself anymore”, if i need inspiration or models from former figurines I created…. I use your database now and that’s perfect for me”…
I was glad to know that this database here, helps him as a tool work for inspiration and creation …
June 29, 2011 at 7:53 pm #18298Sure these are very nice words coming for The Man himself, and I’m sure that it’s the shared thinking of most of us… Thanks at your great work here, Gildor, Mithril and CT legacy will prevail for years, no matter what the future of Mithril production is.
June 29, 2011 at 8:42 pm #18299be assure you’ll like what’s coming “next” from the Man
more PM for sure
June 29, 2011 at 8:43 pm #18300lots of PM but i really cannot share this right now, and maybe some among us share the same knowledge as I do as I am not the only one in friendly contact with Chris
but that will be excellent I am sure of it

here was many interesting sentences today… I hope many of them will materialize in the form of interesting and beautiful sculptures… everything what we must do now is – wait….
About C.T. collection… he wrote me once that he has around 30% of all old mithril collection and that he will keep only few of them that he really like…. and that he have all of MS and all new figures and he will keep it.
About Last M7, or M3 I saw that in last few month he sold five M3 figures mostly on private offers not on official auction, but who knows how many M copies he have in this 30%…
Any way I do highly respect C.T. and I hope that he will for a long time in our short life, make us mithril people happy with his works.

Once when C.T. decide to sell his PM range ( new figures ) I hope he’ll send us private e-mail so we could know when figures will be offered on evil eBay… Gildor you could suggest him this idea…. and this is no complicated operation.
Also I hope that those new PM figures would not have sky high prices….

well is he or not, made all these magnificent small statues about which constantly we have debates here…. !
June 30, 2011 at 10:37 am #18308Well, m16 auction has gone wild, so I pass this time. Maybe i’ll have another chance in future, but to pay this amount for one single miniature I must become totally mad.
June 30, 2011 at 10:55 am #18309I did not check the price of M16 how high is it?
as for your comment about informing the collectors about PM releases Thingol… so far it has always been my job to do so on Chris behalf, he does it already with some people and I complete by broadcasting the info to all the MMP members and this will carry on this way I think
June 30, 2011 at 11:15 am #18310GBP 172,68 at this moment, Gildor … more or less 192,22 €
