Master Thingol was right … there was some time hidden in my pocket (how did he know?).
January 24, 2010 at 11:11 am #8691So I can provide some pictures of the “Fire of Orthanc” now, though there still will be some improvements to be made. I hope you enjoy.

January 24, 2010 at 11:21 am #8692As you can see, I tried to prime that ‘Fire Wagon’ in a Mithril-way. I have to add that this is the first time to see the “Fire of Orthanc” with four oxen and added details. This piece was never produced for production and selling. It is a single piece I tried to complete, though my means are very much limited. I have to thank N.N. again for giving me this as a present. I hope he’s not too much disappointed about the result.
… and it fits well together with the Dunlending chariotJanuary 24, 2010 at 1:32 pm #8694Just finished my very late scrambled egg on toast I have been surprised for meeting Master Theobald here- after days of absence- and
for beeing delighted with these very-high-standart-quality-photographies of this fantastic oxen-waggon. Well done, Master Theobald!
Taht was the right decision!January 24, 2010 at 2:18 pm #8695Truly amazing! Thanks for the pics, Master Theobald.
January 24, 2010 at 7:28 pm #8696I knew it…. time is always hidden in our pockets I have my time in my pocket… this is small hidden part of my personal universe… and now some comments of this magnificent piece of Mithril imagination…. when I see something like this I wish I have a little bit more money, to be at home and enjoy these little pleasures… and this is it… truly amazing as Master Arthadan says…. !!!!!!!!! hoooooomrhommmmmmmm
Since I’ve on this forum my Mithril horizons become longer and longer……..
February 3, 2010 at 1:34 pm #8743Master Estel….
I will dig out a few of the wagons I have and take some pics and post them.
Not a bad wagon at all Master Ent. I hope none of your twigs got twisted by assembling this nice piece!April 25, 2010 at 3:15 pm #9650Very good job with this special item Master Tree! Since yes, I have one of these too, I am all the more impressed. There are no instructions and the additional oxen and the solution for their rigging is brilliant and impressive (not to mention executed very well!). It is likely that Mr. NN made few of these, although I think there may be a picture of one, dating from 2003 and three out there on the web. You may have more surprizes left than do I. I will someday show some interesting Southrons!
April 25, 2010 at 3:36 pm #9652Ken, thank you very much for that nice comment … yes, the Fire-Wagon was a bit difficult to assemble, fix and to extend …
ahh, them Southrons … I do remember …. đŸ˜†
keep on KenJanuary 1, 2012 at 5:55 pm #22381Well, it took me some time to research, but by now I can say that the “Fire Wagon” and one chariot did exist.
I could only find a poor picture from the Mithril Gathering 2003. (Lancaster, Pennsylvania?)
Anyway, thanks to Peder Hammarskiold, Dave Caspar and Jim CorlessMithril Gathering 2003 – Historicon – Helm’s deep …

the “Fire-Wagon” is in the centre middle, the chariot is in the front left.
I take it as granted, that Orclord allowed me to publish this pic.January 1, 2012 at 7:14 pm #22383Is it possible to see “bigger” picture of this Helm’s deep siege… Thanks for any answer
January 1, 2012 at 9:12 pm #22392I only dared to provide this one I “found”. I’m afraid that even a higher solution of the pic wouldn’t make the “Fire Wagon” more recognizable. I don’t know if Peder, Dave C., Jim C. or ‘Orclord’ still keep better pics. Maybe Master Kennako might have some, though I think he didn’t take part in that event … not being sure.
Alas, of course there are more pics of the Historicon Helm’s Deep 2003 (Assault). I would dare to provide, in case there’s interest in it. Well, all this is “only” about wargaming on table-tops. Just to get an idea of the units used you might have a look at the thread here, called “NĂºmenorian Army” (which of, course have nothing to do with Helm’s Deep) …
I just wanted to prove that the “Fire Wagon” was once used, and I’m sure that the original, painted one is still in good hands. Why do I place this here? – Well in those days there were people, playing table-tops, building table tops, converted figures … etc. all based on Mithril figures. Even wore Mithril T-shirts.
