Personally, the more I see of the Amazon version of ME the more it worries me. I shall try to avoid hating it until I’ve seen enough to form a (hopefully) balanced opinion, but I’m definitely wavering towards disliking it (on the basis that I haven’t liked a single detail that I’ve seen thus far…..).

June 27, 2022 at 7:58 pm #49227I’ve I’ve seen today that Harper-Collins have just edited a new version of the books from the LOTR with new covers based on this new series… I do not understand why they do (well yes, with the expectation to sell more I suppose) but I find it completely wrong and mis-leading.

Sounds interesting… or at least it seems it could be more loyal to Tolkien works than the actual amazon series… Still I fear too much war (just looks and digital effects) and little script behind it.. What do you all think?

In the meantime, it is very quiet over at the Mithril location as well. I will ask Michael what is the delay in starting the July suggestion period, or did I miss something and they have decided to take a Summer break?

June Fellowship Cancelled.
I want to thank everyone who submitted new ideas this month, but unfortunately we have not reached sufficent ideas to move forward. Two ideas that were submitted (by the same person) were either already made, or unsuitable for the month as they were a vignette.</p>The other ideas were accepted however and listed here for clarity so you can resubmit them in future if appropriate.
- King Theoden, in full armor, defending the walls of Helm’s Deep.
- Wainrider man with whip.
- Dwarf woman of Erebor.
- Easterling standard bearer.
- Wose Drummers.
- Rammas Builder.
Because we are in the final week of this month we have decided to cancel this month rather than drag it into July. We are sorry if that disappoints any member.
Due to the ongoing delays in the manufacturing process we have decided to postpone future fellowship months until we get the process moving again, to avoid a huge backlog of ideas. This decision may be reversed as soon as we resolve the delays so don’t be disheartened.
July 26, 2022 at 2:23 am #49276I’m sorry my dear friends to tell you, but I have to go … this “new” place means a horror to me to handle and cope with though I tried several times to get used to it. So, by now I’m really getting more and more fed up with it. Besides it seems that I’m not the only one who is not very much interested in frequenting this place any more. Whatever the reasons might be. I do regret this very much, as for so many years (I say: very many many years) from Mithrandir’s first MMP on to Gildor’s MMP. I have enjoyed our communication on this MMP for so long. Well, I think that I’m sure it’s just because I have become “a little bit” too old. RhûooOoOhmmm …
PS:Â Christophe (Gildor), this is not because of you, of course … don’t get it wrong, please.
