Hi all
You know, Time Machine Miniatures bought the right from grenadier for its “fantasy” series “Fantastic Females of an Ancient World”.
It seems to me other miniatures look like from the Man hand. Just a feeling so I asked.Bob’s answer
“Many of the Teutoburger-Wald figures (http://timemachineminiatures.com/figures/Tuetoberger%20Wald), especially the early numbers were done by Chris.
… Some of the later TW kits are some of his figures but converted.I am going to mark this week Chris’s involvement with the kits on the website.
Sidenote: I cast some new products for Chris the last couple years that he was doing on his own (sci-fi, fantasy, lotr type figures). I don’t know if he ever made them available.”

November 26, 2013 at 5:47 pm #29192Indeed, you’re right, Master Mornedhel. Those three vignettes which are now provided in the “Fantasy-series” by Timemachine are based on the old vignettes, sculpted by Chris Tubb. Though Timemachine produces them in resin now (starting that about 3 years ago, I think). Those three vignettes were “re-named” then. The former owner of Timemachine gave me sets of the first castings, that’s why I know about this.
I can also confirm that Chris Tubb has a major part in sculpting the “Teutoburger-Wald” figures (this is the correct way of spelling that Name, by the way). They’re simply marvellous and some of the best small dioramas I’ve ever seen in terms of detail and sculpting skills. – Mind, the different size, compared to the regular Mithril-series. That’s why the prices are a bit higher than those of an MS-Mithril single figure. – If you have a closer look at the way Chris Tubb used details for the “native Cherusker” many things will remind you of the Mithril Dunlendings. Old Celtic weapons, shields, and garment. That of course is historically not very correct, I’m afraid.November 27, 2013 at 8:30 am #29194Thanks Master Theobald. Correction done.
As always you are the custodian of history for our great pleasure. The old celtic garments are inspired by the Osprey book “Teutoburger Forets AD9”. Halas, Osprey books are not always very accurate
November 27, 2013 at 4:23 pm #29195Oh, I did not intend any criticismwith my last entry, Master Mornedhel. I think I found the wrong spelling on the Timemachine-pages.

November 29, 2020 at 10:45 am #39209Sorry to dig up an old topic but does anoby know if there is a possibility to get the FS1/2/3 (Purity/Passion/Sacrifice) reedited versions of the Grenadier fantastic females?
I have the original ones still in mint blister but I would like to paint them and I don’t feel I can paint the originals they are too rare…
If anybody knows where to find copies? or cast copies? (assuming I own the original ones…)Please let me know

Time Machine is now gone Gildor – it was sold on to a Bob Stein (who I was able to purchase the last release of the Teutoberger range from), but the website is no longer functioning .
I have no idea if Bob sold on the business, or the figures
