May 12, 2009 at 1:00 pm #5186Yesterday a Royal visitor arrived in my mailbox. He was fast asleep, so I opened the envelope only today. And there he was “PRINCE MORLAS”!
What a figure! A lot smaller then the gate of Moria I bet, but not less impressive!
Thank you very much Chris Tubb for this substitude! Thank you Gildor for the distribution!May 19, 2009 at 3:35 pm #5264Mistress Wendy, could you please send me your postal address in email so that I can prepare the squirrel package?

May 19, 2010 at 9:46 pm #10074Hi everybody,
after a long time being muted by technical problems on this site I only want to mention that I am happy that Chris and Gildor found this solution for all you true collectors and fellows. I was was not very lucky when I found that nice squirrel in my post box in 2008 in such a small number . . . Don´t misunderstand me! I loved it and still do! It´s a great gesture of a generous man and artist! But with whom should I share my precious? There were some old fellows which were more near to me than others, there were fellows who had made themselves worthy because of all their work and efforts for this hobby! For me it was clear as a cloudless summer morning that I won´t sell it. This gift was too precious! It has to be given away as a present! I chose a few receivers and kept only one Morlas for myself.
I felt that this was the only right way to share it.
When Theobald asked me if he can announce it here I didn´t hesitate a second to agree with it. This is a fellowship! We are individuals and may have our own “thing” (jobs, families, problems, sports, other hobbies)! But we should share our joy without financial interests if possible and reasonable! So I am very happy that my greatest disappointment in my relations to Mithril turned out to develop into a nice story of generosity and selflessness!
Greetings to all of you!
Roland
P.S.: As I told Theobald before: the name Morlas was my invention not Chris´
May 19, 2010 at 11:31 pm #10075This is absolutely right, what you said Roland! There is nothing to add.
This Morlas is one of the first thing I could participate from being member of this fantastic community!
And so it was my first contact with The Man ever, and that makes me very proud, still !!!
This Morlas is THE very treasure of all mithril/Tubb releases ever! And therefore I agree to you, saying “this gift was too precious” !
I am aware of this very much! This miniature I won´t paint ever! To let be as it is: a masterpiece, a uniqueness, a treasure!
I became acquaintance of the fact that it was your suggestion when I flow deeper in the depths of the mithril-board months ago.
I must confess that I wonder a bit . . . But your post above show me YOUR generosity and selfnessness. And this, dear Roland, put you many steps upwards!
I wish for myself that you will take part here more often . . .May 20, 2010 at 7:13 am #10077…that is one of the stories when greatest disappointment become greatest treasure…. simple life circle… and magnificent fairy-tale
May 20, 2010 at 5:56 pm #10078I am happy this Morlas story satisfied everybody
indeed for me the most precious gift is rather the figurine I call “Born of Hope” which only exists in 7 castings… and it is very hard, so far I still have those 7 ones myself, and I don’t plan to sell them but give some of them too…. alas, for this one there won’t be any further castings, so it is a bit harder to satisfy the community with these
But I’ll try , when time allows…May 20, 2010 at 6:54 pm #10080Hi Gildor,
I can keep a secret as you know. But you made me curious! What is that “Born of Hope”-thing about? Can I get a hint somewhere? There are a lot of different locations and rooms in here . . .
Be sure: I won´t give unguarded advice, too, ´cause I know it´s a hard, hard decision . . . When I made my decision I was sure that only four were made forever!
Maybe better, we talk on a more personal place?May 20, 2010 at 7:02 pm #10081P.S.: Where can I get those cool titles like “Wandering elf” or “Archer of Mirkwood”? It was easy to have an avatar. But where can I get a title?
May 20, 2010 at 7:58 pm #10082well this is not a secret master Bombadil.. this is the figure Chris sculpted for the birth of my son actually… there is a thread about it

[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/2_p1030034.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/2_p1030034.jpg[/imgz][imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/2_p1030037.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/2_p1030037.jpg[/imgz][imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/2_p1030039.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/2_p1030039.jpg[/imgz]about the title, you can just ask master Barliman or myself to fix your title
May 21, 2010 at 6:53 am #10084Beautiful figure! I have seen her in your “Born of hope” topic but I must again share one small compliment with it….. and about title… I also have few ideas… and I will send you PM with my decision…. adventurer become little bit common…
May 21, 2010 at 5:43 pm #10087I did not know such treasure exists. You are a noble man to share these pictures with us Master Gildor.
Concerning Master croatian’s title, I suggest somehow to refer to a garden…May 21, 2010 at 6:30 pm #10088Lucky guy, I call you, Gildor! A son, a loving wife that understands your hobby and a specially made miniature only for you!
But lucky I am, too! Three children, already (mostly) grown up (an early father I was! Yes! Quite early!), a specially miniature was made for me, too. But my wife . . . she loves me. One has to be content.
To be honest: that figure is amazing! If I had a chance I would instantly change it with my suggestion Gilraen although she´s great, too! -
