Keeping well, hopefully everyone else is too 🙂
Just to clarify, Wendy is/was the creator of the Facebook Group, like Nob in the beer-cellar, I just help out with the pots (and try and keep Orcses away) 😀 .
I think that on FB he now goes under the name of Bart Stephen Mornedhel. Hope that helps 🙂
Well it’s just past noon here, so a jug or two would not go amiss 😉
Hopefully the tribute figure for our old friend will arrive in the next week or so, a bitter-sweet release that’s for sure.
Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and raise a mug of Rat-Tail Scrumpy to those old friends who are no longer with us.
Have a safe one.
David
Thank you 🙂
RIP Barli, may your Scrumpy never be without a rat’s tail to flavour it.
Farewell 🙁
I see the 54mm Eowyn sold for £447 on ebay
HNY Master Theobald and all the ‘Reglars’ 😉
That’d do just as nicely 😉
More like a Mulled Wine weather here Holger 😀

If this is the one, I have one if you want it 😉 – I don’t need it for anything that I will ever get around to doing.

A bit of an awkward one Gildor as they have used a modified base for the box-art so unless there was a leaflet inside it doesn’t look like an answer is available.
I don’t know if some of these are still in stock, but the following appear to have a lot of the TMM references listed.
I was always annoyed (especially with the mounted Dol Amroth figures) when a horse and rider were cast together rather than separate. I would have purchased a lot more for a diorama had they been separate, but I didn’t fancy messing about with sawing metal.
At least one Mithril mounted figure (Mounted Nazgul) was separate then became one-piece castings.
It will be interesting to see if they remove the support rods from the prints, or choose to leave them on as a form of delicate part protection. Having a 3D printer, I know that some delicate parts can quite easily snap when trimming and this will obviously put the onus on the collector to be careful (I am a fan of resin over metal by the way, but that is for modelling and not Collecting purposes).
RE reduction in prices – they are probably working on the same basis as some confectionary/food manufacturers whereby they reduce the size of the chocolate bar, but retain the same price; with chocolate bars they have the ‘limp’ excuse of thinking of customer health. Hopefully the Mithril stuff will see a price drop once it gets going and issues resolved.
Welcome back Master Caster 😉
Thanks for the update on the ‘Fantasy’ figures Gildor – Re Doug Cohen, I guess that like a few modellers/painters out there, there are some who also possess some sculpting skills (American modeller Bill Horan being an example of superb painting and sculpting ability), but I guess that this could also include minor tweaks and alterations that do not rely on a lot of sculpting skill.
If you pm me your email address (I have just tried to send an email with box-art, but it seems to have bounced back from both email addresses that I have for you) I will forward the pictures – I have box-art, but will scan information leaflets as well as Doug Cohen’s article on the series which was originally on TM’s website 🙂
Yes of course, I’ll scan what I have, the only box I appear to have missing is the DS-TW 17 box, but the information leaflet is there in the photo, and I will have to check to see if there was anything with DS- TW 18, but I think that may have been ‘finished’ by Bob Stein after Jim Corless had handed over.
We have visitors over for the weekend so will probably be next week before I can scan
The Cthulhu statue is a 3D print, a friend of mine is a big fan of ‘The Old One’ so I thought it would be a nice touch to add it to the scene 🙂
